Assuré d'un gain de 16,958$, Fabrice Soulier est toujours en piste pour un deuxième bracelet WSOP. Le Français fait partie des 17 survivants de l'Event #9 Championship Omaha Hi/lo à 10 000$ l'entrée.

La tâche s'annonce ardue pour le tricolore qui est 11e du classement provisoire et avec peu de profondeur mais tout va très vite dans les épreuves de variantes. Il faudra surtout faire face à des spécialistes puisque Daniel Negreanu ou le chipleader Abe Mosseri ont une expérience immense.

Abe Mosseri domine les débats avec 1,8 million de jetons soit 9 fois le tapis de Fabsoul qui est à la recherche d'un deuxième succès WSOP. Yarron Bendor (1,195,000) et au contact mais, derrière, la concurrence est distancée. Christopher Vitch complète ainsi le podium avec 676,000 jetons.

Le Jour 3 devrait permettre au premier de capturer un gain de 391,313$ mais le jeu sera stoppé au bout de dix niveaux de 60 minutes si le vainqueur n'est pas consacré. Un Jour 4 impromptu aurait alors lieu le lendemain, dans la nuit de mardi à mercredi.

Troisième du Tag Team par équipes à 10.000$; Daniel Negreanu chasse son 7e bracelet, bien calé dans le Top 6 et largement en meilleure position que Mike Matusow et Max Pescatori qui sont au fond du classement.

Dan Shak, John Monnette, David “ODB” Baker, Anthony Zinno, Owais Ahmed et Matt Woodward sont encore en piste pour le 9e bracelet distribué à Las Vegas cet été.

Le Jour 2 avait démarré avec 64 joueurs pour 24 places payées. Vyacheslav Zhukov, Frank Kessela, Brock Parker, Andrey Zaichenko, Marco Johnson, Matt Glantz, et Tom Koral ont sauté avant l'argent tout comme le tenant du titre Benny Glaser ou Randy Ohel et Jeff Lisandro. Chris Bell a lui fait la bulle en s'inclinant en 25e position.

"I just have a low draw," George reported, and tabled {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}.

Vitch showed {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for fives full of aces. George's low draw did not get there and he was eliminated in 18th place for a payday of $16,958.

The turn brought the {10-Diamonds} and Vitch checked then folded when Baker fired another bet.

Baker showed {q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and had a set of queens.

"I have two outs," announced Benson, tabling his {k-Clubs}{k-}{5-}{4-}.

No help would come as the {q-Spades} droped on the river giving Baker quads and sending the Australian pro to the rail in 19th place.

He first raised from middle position and was faced with a reraise from Ray Dehkharghani in the small blind. Miaso then three-bet before Dehkharghani moved all in for an additional 4,000. Miaso called.

In the final hand, Miaso went all in from under the gun and was called by Dan Shak in the cutoff as well as Ilya Dyment and Owais Ahmed in the blinds.

All three live players then checked the {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop as well as the {q-Diamonds} turn before the {q-Clubs} completed the board. There, Dyment bet, forcing a fold from the other two players.

Dyment tabled {a-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and took down the pot with trip queens after Miaso flipped over his {a-Spades}{4-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Miaso finished in 22nd place, receiving $14,809 for his efforts.
