Sonny Franco
Sonny Franco

Ivan Bryksin opened to 700,000 and was called by Sonny Franco and Julien Sitbon in the blinds.

On the {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop, action checked to Bryksin who continued for 85,000. Only Franco called.

Both players checked the {k-Diamonds} turn and then Franco jammed on the {a-Diamonds} river. Bryksin snap-folded his pocket queens face up in disgust.

Christopher Puetz shipped in his last 60,000 and was called by Romain Le Dantec.

Christopher Puetz: {k-Spades}{6-Spades}
Romain Le Dantec: {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}

Le Dantec was still ahead but Puetz had a host of outs on the {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop. The {9-Hearts} turn was a safe card for Le Dantec but the {j-Spades} river saved Puetz from being the bubble.

Sonny Franco shoved from the button with Julien Martini and Fahredin Mustafov behind. Martini folded but Mustafov made the call.

Sonny Franco: {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Fahredin Mustafov: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Mustafov had woken up with queens and was looking to double and stay alive. The flop {j-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{10-Clubs} gave Franco a pair and the turn was the {4-Hearts}. The river {3-Diamonds} improved him to trips and he sent Mustafov to the rail.

Julien Martini's descent down the chip leaderboard continued after he called Roland Israelashvili's all-in.

Roland Israelashvili: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Julien Martini: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Martini added some more outs and had some backdoor flush possibilities thanks to the {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{8-Spades} flop. The {q-Diamonds} gave Martini a flush draw but bricked on the {9-Hearts} river to double up his opponent.

Romain Le Dantec
Romain Le Dantec

With 70,000 in the pot on the {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{9-Spades} board, Romain Le Dantec bet 70,000 and was called by Julien Sitbon.

Sitbon, with 341,000 behind, then faced an all-in from his opponent on the {2-Hearts} river.

"Can I make another hero fold against you?" Sitbon asked, the pair had been the most active at their table and had played several pots versus each other.

Sitbon eventually folded and Le Dantec was kind enough to show him his {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, Sitbon turned over his {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs} to show he had made the correct fold.

With 115,000 in the pot and the board showing {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs}{q-Clubs}, Romain Le Dantec checked his option. Julien Sitbon, his compatriot, bet 35,000.

Day 2 of Event #13: €10,000 NLH 6-Max will set up Day 3's final table as the field will be whittled down from the current 13 players to just six.

Chip leader Julien Martini (1,317,000) will be looking to secure a third bracelet at the 2021 World Series of Poker Europe following his victories in Event #8: €2,500 Short Deck and Event #12: €2,000 8-Game.

The United States' Roland Israelashvili is also on course to produce another impressive feat, he has played five events at this year's series and has cashed in every single one of them.

Although he currently sits at the bottom of the pack of the Day 1 survivors, his experience in these spots will prove paramount.

Day 1 saw a bumper field with a plethora of famous faces in the crowd with the likes of Bertrand "Elky" Grospellier, Johan Guilbert and Sirzat Hissou successfully navigating the first 16 levels of play.

In total, there were 73 entries which beefed the prizepool up to a eyebrow raising €672,695, with the winner taking home €207,267 as well as the WSOP bracelet. Two players who have made it this far will miss out on the money as only the top 11 places get paid.
