The action continues here at the 2023 World Series of Poker Europe at King’s Resort in Rozvadov. The event attracted a total of 202 unique entrants to create a total prize pool of €911,525. Of those 202 entrants, 52 players survived to find a bag and advance to Day 2.
Patrik Jaros had a dominating performance during yesterday’s Day 1, finishing the evening with 1,399,000 chips worth 175 big blinds. Jaros is the only player to bag more than 1,000,000 chips, and is most closely followed by Omar Eljach, who comes in with 914,000 chips to start Day 2, worth 114 big blinds.
Eljach has had a stellar series at the WSOPE so far, having already won Event #2: €550 Pot Limit Omaha for €65,900 as well as making the final table of Event #3: €1,350 Mini Main Event, finishing fourth for €103,350.

Day 2 is scheduled to kick off at 1:00 p.m. local time with the intention of playing down to a winner. Blinds will begin at Level 15 with blinds at 4,000/8,000 and an 8,000 big blind ante.

Mats Nylander limped in from the small blind and Patrik Jaros raised to 22,000. Nylander made the call.
The flop came K♦9♦2♦ and Nylander check-called a 12,000 continuation bet from Jaros.
Nylander check-called another bet on the 2♥ turn, this time for 40,000.
The river was the 7♣. Nylander checked and Jaros bet 160,000, sending Nylander deep into the tank.
After several minutes Nylander opted to fold.
"Woohoo!" Jaros exclaimed, revealing K♠9♠ from his hand for at least two pair as he scooped the pot without showdown.

Marco Di Persio limped from the cutoff and Bernd Gleissner limped behind on the button. Arturo Paduano called from the small blind and Wing Po Liu checked his option from the big blind.
The flop came 10♣2♥K♦ and Paduano led out for 40,000. Only Gleissner called.
Both players proceeded to check down on the Q♣ turn and A♣ river and Paduano turned over 10♦10♥8♦4♠ for a set of tens. They were no good, however, against the Q♥J♥7♦6♥ of Gleissner for Broadway and Gleissner dragged the pot.

Roland Israelashvili opened to 16,000 from the cutoff and Michael Rocco called in the small blind. Jonas Kronwitter three-bet to 64,000 from the big blind, folding out Israelashvili while Rocco made the call.
The flop came 5♣4♣2♣. Rocco checked, Kronwitter moved all in for 112,000 and Rocco called with a covering stack to put Kronwitter at risk.
