Sofia Lovgren Eliminated in 17th Place ($94,272)

Niveau 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Sofia Lovgren
Sofia Lovgren

Sean Perry open-jammed from the small blind and Sofia Lovgren called out of the big blind with the smaller stack of about 300,000.

Sofia Lovgren: {k-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Sean Perry: {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The flop came {2-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Spades} to give Perry the lead with a pair of jacks, though Lovgren took the lead on the turn as it came the {k-Hearts}. But just as quickly as Lovgren gained the lead she lost it as the river brought the {j-Hearts} to give Perry trips and send Lovgren out as the final elimination of the day.

Sylvain Loosli opened to 80,000 from early position and David Dowdy jammed for 455,000 in middle position. Action folded back to Loosli who snap-called.

David Dowdy: {9-Spades}{8-Spades}
Sylvain Loosli: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Loosli's bullets held to eliminate Dowdy in 18th place, good for $82,047.

Dennis Martin Eliminated in 20th Place ($82,047); Joao Simao Eliminated in 19th Place ($82,047)

Niveau 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Dennis Martin
Dennis Martin

Isaac Kempton opened to 80,000 in late position and Daniel Moran flat-called from the cutoff. Joao Simao three-bet jammed a stack of around 800,000 from the button and Dennis Martin moved all-in from the small blind with slightly less. Kempton called and Moran folded.

Dennis Martin: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Joao Simao: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Isaac Kempton: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The flop came {2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} to keep Kempton in the lead with queens, and the {5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} runout didn't change things for the tournament chip leader to score a double-knockout.

Simao had the larger stack and therefore earned the 19th place finish, while both players earned the same $82,047 for their efforts.

Shankar Pillai opened to 80,000 in middle position, Michael Stembera called the cutoff, and Hyo Joo shoved for approximately 1,450,000 in the big blind. Pillai folded and Stembera called.

Hyo Joo: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Michael Stembera: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Joo ran his big slick into cowboys, and the {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Hearts} runout changed nothing, eliminating Joo in 21st place for $71,657.

Joshua Ladines
Joshua Ladines

Joshua Ladines was all-in in a heads-up pot against Alex Livingston, who had him covered.

Joshua Ladines: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Alex Livingston: {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The flop came {6-Spades}{8-Spades}{j-Clubs} to give Livingston a straight draw, though Ladines still had the lead with queens after the {5-Hearts} turn. However, the {9-Spades} peeled off on the river to prompt a series of groans from the table as Ladines was eliminated in brutal fashion.

Andrew Moreno Eliminated in 23rd Place ($71,657)

Andrew Moreno
Andrew Moreno

Andrew Moreno had 240,000 chips committed to the pot in the small blind and faced an all-in by Isaac Kempton in early position. After confirming the pay jump as an elimination occurred on another table, Moreno called for his approximately 850,000 chips behind.

Andrew Moreno: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Isaac Kempton: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The dealer spread the {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Spades} flop to give Moreno a set, but he needed to fade a spade. The {10-Spades} turn gave Kempton a flush, and the {8-Hearts} river failed to pair the board, eliminating the defending champion in 23rd place for $71,657.

Katie Lindsay

The previous action is unknown, but on a board of {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}, Katie Lindsay got the rest of her chips in from the small blind against Ian Matakis in the big blind.

Katie Lindsay: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Ian Matakis: {6-Spades}{5-Spades}

Lindsay was ahead with her aces but had a lot of outs to fade, and unfortunately for her, the {j-Spades} completed the board to improve Matakis to a flush and send Lindsay to the payout desk in 26th place for $62,857.
