Bleiker the Silent Killer

Niveau 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Felix Bleiker
Felix Bleiker

There is just one open seat over on the table of Felix Bleiker, but the Swiss said he didn't bust any opponent. Yet, Bleiker has almost four times the starting stack and keeps racking in pots very frequently.

One of such saw him open from late position and the small blind called. On the {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop, Bleiker set a continuation bet and was called. The {9-Diamonds} on the turn brought no action and the small blind checked. Bleiker checked behind and took the opportunity for a final bet on the {5-Hearts} river when it was checked to him. The Swiss made it 1,800 to go and forced a fold.

Easy going, at least if one is Felix Bleiker right now.

Here Comes Andre

Niveau 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

The two DiFelice brothers Andre and Alex have become somewhat of a fixture on events of the European Poker Tour and Alex just recently reached the final table of the WSOP Circuit in Berlin.

Andre is playing today and started well from what we can tell. Three-way with 2,800 invested each, a flop came {J-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades} and was checked around. On the {3-Hearts} turn, DiFelice bet 3,500 and Mohamed Aissani called, Russell Thomas folded. After the {4-Hearts} on the river, DiFelice bet 9,000 and Aissani folded.

Two orbits later, DiFelice welcomed Farid Jattin to the table. The Canadian had opened to 1,200, the cutoff called and Jattin three-bet to 3,800. DiFelice four-bet to 40,000 and both opponents folded.

Oedeen Takes from Benso

Niveau 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Jerry Odeen

With plenty of chips in the pot already, it looked like 12,000, Sergio Benso bet 6,300 on the river of a board {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{K-Spades} in a battle of the blinds. Table neighbor Jerry Odeen raised to 21,500 and Benso tanked for a long time. Antoine Saout called the clock and the Italian eventually called with 30 seconds left.

Odeen rolled over the {7-Clubs}{3-Spades} for a straight and claimed a juicy pot.

Counts, Counts, Counts!

Niveau 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

The players have almost four hours of play under their belt. Here are some of the big stacks and some notable players.

Andreev Cracks Aces

Niveau 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Andrey Andreev raised from early position and then called a three-bet by Gilles Huet in the small blind. The latter bet the {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop for 3,500 and Andreev called. On the {9-Clubs} turn, Huet bet 5,100 and again Huet came along. Both then checked the {4-Hearts} on the river.

Huet showed {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} and Andreev turned over the {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for a straight, leaving the Frenchman with around 10,000.

Panchenko Gets Vella to Pay

Niveau 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Natalia Panchenko
Natalia Panchenko

On a {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{3-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{A-Clubs} board, Natalia Panchenko threw in a 5,000-bet. She was up against local hero Mark Vella and he needed some time to make his decision.

Eventually, he made the call and was shown {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for aces full of tens. He couldn't beat that but still showed his hand: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}.

Bojang with the Hero Call

Niveau 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Ismael Bojang limped the small blind and Alexander Prokudin raised to 1,400, Bojang called. On the {8-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, both players checked. Bojang then check-folded the {K-Spades} turn to a delayed continuation bet.

Soon after, Narcis-Gabriel Nedelcu raised to 1,000 and Bojang three-bet to 3,100. Nedelcu called and the flop came {J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. Nedelcu check-called a bet of 3,500 and checked the {9-Clubs} on the turn, Bojang checked behind. After the {5-Hearts} river, Nedelcu made it 5,500 to go and Bojang reluctantly called. Nedelcu flashed {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a busted draw and Bojang claimed the pot with {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}.
