Sam Greenwood Eliminated in 12th Place (€45,570)

Niveau 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Sam Greenwood
Sam Greenwood

Right off the back of the last hand, which ended in a bad beat for Sam Greenwood, he found {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} under the gun and limped in. Wei Huang picked up {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and raised to 250,000. Everyone else got out of the way and Greenwood stuck it in for 370,000 total, which Huang called.

The flop {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} kept Greenwood ahead, and the {9-Hearts} turn meant just six outs for the Canadian to dodge. The river card was one of those cards, the {a-Spades}, and Greenwood left the stage in 12th place.

Riess Doubles Through Greenwood

Niveau 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Ryan Riess
Ryan Riess

Not for the first time today, Ryan Riess doubled through Sam Greenwood. The latter had opened with {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and had called the three-bet shove from Riess for 1,150,000 with {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}.

The {4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop was good for Greenwood but the {a-Clubs} on turn was a disaster card for him. With no king on the {7-Hearts} river, Riess lived on and Greenwood slipped to just seven bigs.

Medina Doubles Through Beresford Part II

Niveau 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Luis Medina
Luis Medina

Timothy Adams got through with a three-bet shove and so did Luis Medina with an open-shove for 500,000.

Soon after, Beresford raised to 100,000 on the button and Nicola Grieco three-bet to 500,000, Beresford called after some consideration. No betting action took place on the {k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} board and Grieco showed {a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. Beresford tabled {a-Spades}{5-Spades} and Grieco laughed.

"Wow, you crazy," he joked and soon after they agreed that they are both crazy as per table chat.

Beresford kept up the momentum and raised to 100,000 in the cutoff. Medina jammed in the big blind for 525,000 and the Brit beat him into the pot.

Luis Medina: {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Conor Beresford: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The board came {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and Medina got there on the river to remain in contention.

Greenwood Flops a Flush

Niveau 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Manig Loeser opened early position with {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Sam Greenwood called {8-Spades}{3-Spades} in the big blind.

The flop was a dreamy {5-Spades}{k-Spades}{7-Spades} for Greenwood and he check-called 75,000 with his flush. The turn fell the {9-Clubs} and Greenwood checked, with Loeser checking back.

A fourth spade landed on the {a-Spades} river and Greenwood bet 150,000, which was about a third pot and Loeser folded his hand.
