Boulad Eliminated by Scott

Niveau 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Jean-Pierre Boulad got his last 280,000 in from the hijack and Jacquelyn Scott moved all in over the top from the button to isolate successfully.

Boulad tabled a premium pair in {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}, but Scott was one notch better with the {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}. There was no upset on the {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} board and Boulad was eliminated in 44th place.

Glaser Falls to Romero

Niveau 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Benny Glaser - James Romero
Benny Glaser - James Romero

Benny Glaser and James Romero have spent the better part of the day next to each other and another clash between the two would turn out to be the last one for the British mixed game specialist. After Marco Monello had raised to 45,000 from under the gun, both Glaser and Romero shipped their stacks in in quick succession. Monello gave it up to go to a showdown.

Benny Glaser: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
James Romero: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}

There was no help for Glaser on {6-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and he fist-bumped the American in acknowledgment.

The following players were also recently eliminated as the field heads into the dinner break.

Another Knockout for Schemion

Niveau 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Ole Schemion raised the button and called the shove of Oz Cohen in the small blind for around 300,000.

Oz Cohen: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Ole Schemion: {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Schemion picked up some further outs on the {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop and turned two pair when the {a-Clubs} appeared. None of the two remaining kings showed up on the river, instead it was the {2-Hearts} that spelled the end for Cohen.

Sukhorukov Doesn't Need to Hit

Niveau 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

On a {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop, Tamas Balogh checked the big blind to Dmitrii Sukhorukov, who continued with a bet. Balogh check-raised all in for 330,000 and Sukhorukov beat him to the pot with a call.

Tamas Balogh: {10-Spades}{6-Spades}
Dmitrii Sukhorukov: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Sukhorukov held the most monstrous of draws, yet didn't need any of the outs as the board ran out {j-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} to keep the ace-high hand best and eliminate Balogh in 47th place.

Miquel Munoz Makes a Judgment Call

Niveau 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Three players saw a {k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop together with initial raiser Dennis Schienagel continuing for 91,000. Ramon Miquel Munoz called on the button, while Giuseppe Zarbo snap-folded from the big blind.

On the {2-Diamonds} turn, Schienagel now bet 80,000 and Miquel Munoz once again called. The river was the {10-Diamonds} and Schienagel shoved all in. Munoz had 344,000 behind and called it off for some thought with {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. It wasn't enough, as Schienagel rolled over {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} to end the Spaniard's run.

Kurdin Jams Into [Removed:529]

Niveau 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

With more than a million already in the middle and the completed board showing {10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Spades}, Vasily Kurdin moved all in against [Removed:528] and the Canadian reluctantly folded to forfeit a big portion of his stack.

Glaser Doubles Through Romero

Niveau 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Benny Glaser
Benny Glaser

Benny Glaser ended up all in for 255,000 and James Romero looked him up from one seat over.

Glaser tabled the {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Romero had the slightly superior {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. A split pot was likely on the {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop, but Glaser spiked the {6-Spades} on the turn. A blank {10-Spades} river didn't change the outcome anymore and Glaser scored an urgently needed double.

Higgs and Castaignon Collide In Another Massive Pot

Niveau 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Sam Higgs
Sam Higgs

Not long ago, Sam Higgs had tripled up with a short stack after he lost a big pot to Remi Castaignon. Since then, Higgs moved back to a big stack and now won an enormous pot to take revenge on Castaignon in a setup hand.

Higgs had raised from the cutoff and Castaignon called on the button to see the {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop, on which Higgs bet 65,000 and Castaignon called. On the {k-Spades} turn, Higgs check-raised from 230,000 to 500,000 and Castaignon came along to see the {8-Clubs} on the river.

Higgs now took some time before announcing a bet of 1,000,000 with some chips behind and Castaignon quickly called. The Aussie flipped over {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and Castaignon mucked {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a flopped full house that fell behind on the turn.
