Pak Takes Aygun to Value Town

Niveau 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Aksel Aygun opened to 16,000 from the hijack and Aleksandr Pak three-bet to 37,000 from the cutoff. Aygun made the call.

The flop came A23 and Aygun check-called a 21,000 continuation bet from Pak.

Aygun check-called another bet from Pak on the J turn, this time for 54,000.

The river was the 9. Aygun checked and Pak bet 110,000, sending Aygun into the tznk.

Marc Foggin
Marc Foggin

Heads-up on a flop of 736, Francisco Benitez bet 22,000 from under the gun before Marc Foggin moved all in from the big blind. Benitez snap-called.

Francisco Benitez: JJ
Marc Foggin: 66

Foggin showed Benitez the bad news when he flipped over a set of sixes as he was poised to crack Benitez's pair of jacks. The board ran out 79 and Foggins finished with a full house to earn the pot.

The stacks were counted down and Foggin had 190,000 remaining, barely covering Benitez's stack. The Uruguayan high roller didn't even wait for instructions on how to collect his payout before he stormed off to the exit.

Meanwhile, a big pot was brewing at another table between Fabio Peluso and Oleg Ustinovich.

Peluso bet 58,000 from the cutoff on a board of 10J29 and Ustinovich called in early position. The river came the Q and Peluso then moved all in.

Ustinovich had around 120,000 remaining and burned through a time bank before tossing his cards into the muck.

Niveau 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

The action folded to the button where Halil Tasyurek opened to 12,000 before Vasileios Panagiotidis defended his big blind and they were off to a flop heads up.

The Q76 landed and Panagiotidis check-called an 8,000 bet from Tasyurek on their way to a 2 turn. Action checked through and the Q rolled off on the river.

Panagiotidis dragged the pot but Tasyurek still holds the larger of the two stacks.

A pot of around 170,000 was already in the middle as Gary Miller and Angelos Michael went to the turn on a board of 210A7.

Guven Raises River

Niveau 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Ege Guven has been agressive at his table and is opening quite a few hands. On this deal he opted to open the button to 13,000 and got called in the big blind by Andrei Vavilonskii.

The 326 flop hit the felt and action checked through to a 5 turn. Vavilonskii took the betting lead and put out 17,000. Guven called.

The J river hit the felt and Vavilonskii led again for 25,000. Guven went into the tank for a moment and then put in a raise to 82,000. Vavilonskii pondered a call but eventually mucked his hand as Guven dragged in the chips.

Luo Spikes the River on Mouawad

Niveau 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Shuang Luo

Jose Gonzalez's table just witnessed another all-in confrontation, and this time it was between Shuang Luo and Joe Mouawad.

The two opponents went to the 5510 flop where Mouawad got his last 54,000 in the middle from the big blind as Luo had him at risk from early position.

Joe Mouawad: J10
Shuang Luo: AK

Mouawad was ahead with two pair heading to the J turn, which improved him to a higher two pair. The river, though, was the Q and Luo made a straight to send Mouawad to the rail.

"Sorry," she told him. Gonzalez then got up from his seat to shake Mouwad's hand.

"It was nice playing with you," he told Mouawad.

"You too. Good luck," Mouawad said, waving goodbye to his now-former tablemates before heading off to collect his payout.
