Simao Eliminates Villanueva in a Three-Way Pot

Niveau 11 : 600/1,200, 0 ante
Joao Simao
Joao Simao

We arrived for the action on the river of the {5-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{A-Hearts} board with Gabriel Villanueva already all in while Jeffrey Brunelle and Joao Simao battled for a side pot. There was already over 30,000 on the side and Brunelle fired 21,000. Simao called and Brunelle exposed {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{J-Clubs} for just a pair of kings. Simao turned up {A-}{Q-}{6-}{3-} and take the whole pot as Villanueva couldn't survive with what looked like {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{X-}{X-}.

Migely Gets His Revenge Against D'Angelo

Niveau 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

He couldn't tackle him on the first attempt but William Migely busted Ryan D'Angelo when they clashed again. D'Angelo made it 4,200 under the gun and Migely called in the cutoff to see the {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop. D'Angelo had about 25,000 left and fired 10,000 on the flop, then called all in when Migely shoved.

Migely: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{J-Hearts}{5-Spades}
D'Angelo: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The runout of {6-Spades} and {J-Clubs} gave Migely two pair to eliminate D'Angelo from the tournament.

There were about 12,000 chips in the pot and the board read {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds} when we got to the table. Chance Kornuth was in the big blind and facing a decision for 8,000 from Tommy Le, who was in the hijack. After asking the dealer to verify the bet, Kornuth called.

The {J-Diamonds} fell on the river and both players checked. Kornuth tabled {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for a turned eight-high straight. Le tossed his cards into the muck and Kornuth took the chips.

Midena Doubles Through Klein

Niveau 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

There was a substantial pot of about 35,000 already brewing and the board read {9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} when we got to the table. Loren Klein had committed 14,000 chips from the button and Tom MIdena shoved from the big blind for 61,600. Klein went into the tank for about a minute before he ultimately called to put Midena at risk.

Loren Klein: {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}
Tom Midena: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

Klein had flopped top two pair but found himself trailing Midena's turned trip fours and needed help on the river to win. The final card was the {K-Hearts} which further improved Midena to kings full and he took the pot to double up.

Starostin's Top Pair Is Good

Niveau 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

With about 55,000 in the pot, hijack Ivan Starostin checked the {4-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs} turn and his left-hand opponent Romain Lewis bet 22,000. Starostin paused for a moment and then placed in calling chips.

The river fell {J-Spades} and both players quickly tapped the felt. Starostin opened {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs} for just a pair of kings but it was enough to collect the pot as Lewis threw his cards into the muck.
