Markholt Rivers a Flush

Niveau 20 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Hold'em

In one of the final hands of the night, Hye Park and Lee Markholt were involved in a blind battle. Park had put the last bet in on the {8-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop and bet the {K-Spades} turn. Markholt called both times.

On the {2-Diamonds} river, Park bet, Markholt raised and Park called. Markholt showed {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a flush and Park mucked.

Marsters Knocks Chen Out, Hui Eliminated

Niveau 20 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
James Chen
James Chen

Stud

James Chen moved all in on third street and Tim Marsters made the call, the board ran out as follows:

Tim Marsters: {9-Hearts}{10-Hearts} / {j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{j-Spades} / {j-Hearts}
James Chen: {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} / {10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{8-Spades} / {k-Diamonds}

Marsters full house eliminated Chen from the tournament and added to his already large stack.

Hold'em

Phillip Hui was sent to the payout desk when he moved all in from the button with {q-Spades}{4-Hearts} and ran into Alan Steinberg's {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}. The board ran out dry and Steinberg took down the pot, eliminating Hui.

Hastings Drags a Big One off Fuchs

Brian Hastings
Brian Hastings

Stud

Brian Hastings just scooped a big pot off Carol Fuchs to claim the chip lead in the $3,000 H.O.R.S.E. shortly before the day's end. On seventh street, Hastings bet, Fuchs raised, Hastings put in three bets and Fuchs called.

Hastings' four open cards and order were unclear as he quickly rearranged his cards, but once all seven were showing he had {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} open for jacks full. Fuchs, with {3-Hearts}{A-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} showing, mucked her hand.

Chen Runs into a Monster

Niveau 20 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Kristan Lord: {x-}{x-} / {j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Hearts} / {x-}
James Chen: {x-}{x-} / {k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} / {x-}

James Chen completed, Kristan Lord raised and Chen made the call. Both players checked on fourth street, Lord would bet until showdown and Chen would make the call all the way down.

Lord turned over his hand to reveal {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{j-Hearts} for jacks full of tens and more than enough to take down the pot as Chen chucked his cards into the muck.

Dobson Out in Two Steps

Niveau 20 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Benjamin Dobson
Benjamin Dobson

Omaha Hi-Lo

Both Jeff Madsen and Benjamin Dobson already had 70,000 each in front of them when the turn was dealt on {10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Madsen bet 20,000 and Dobson called. The river was the {2-Spades} and Madsen bet again. Dobson, with 45,000 behind, peeked at his hole cards, but couldn't find a call and gave it up.

Razz

A few hands later, Dobson's final few bets went in on fourth street in Razz.

Benjamin Dobson: {A-}{3-} / {6-}{6-}{Q-}{Q-} / {K-}
Jesse Hampton: {X-}{X-} / {4-}{4-}{4-} - folded on fifth
Dutch Boyd: {A-}{5-} / {6-}{9-}{6-}{9-} / {2-}

It was likely the weirdest Razz rundown of the day, with players catching pairs all over. Hampton indicated he started with {2-}{3-} in the hole but gave it up on fifth. Dobson started with an {A-}{3-}{6-} but eventually made just a king-queen low. Boyd made a nine-six and Dobson went to the rail in 23rd.
