Wolansky Eliminated by Reilly

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante
Steven Wolansky
Steven Wolansky

Tim Reilly raised to 1,600 from early position. It folded all the way around to Steven Wolansky and he pushed all in for right about 20,000. Reilly called and the cards were turned on their backs.

Tim Reilly: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Steven Wolansky: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and when Reilly spiked the {9-Spades} on the river there was a big gasp coming from the player in the seven-seat, claiming he folded a nine.

Wolansky got it in correctly, but he will not be the new world champion after being eliminated by a cruel, alleged, one-outer.

Hellmuth Defending Every Big Blind

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

The action folded to Joel Dickerson in the cutoff who raised it up and Phil Hellmuth called from the big blind. The flop came {3-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Hellmuth checked to Dickerson who tossed in a continuation bet. Hellmuth check-raised to 5,600 but Dickerson still called.

The turn was the {2-Clubs} and Hellmuth announced a bet of 7,200. Dickerson thought for a minute and then made the call. The river brought the {q-Diamonds} and both players quickly checked. Hellmuth tabled {k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Dickerson showed {k-Spades}{8-Spades} to chop the pot.

"We're playing the game now," Hellmuth said to Dickerson as the two exchanged fist bumps. "I'm going to defend every big blind, just so you all know. And if I sense weakness, I'll check-raise you."

Juanda Three-Bets and Fires

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

After an early open to 1,500 and two calls, John Juanda made it 6,000 from the small blind. Only a middle-position flatter came along to {k-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. Juanda continued for 5,200 and earned the pot without further resistance.

Himmelbrand Doubles Through Brereton

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

On a {6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop, Luke Brereton bet 10,000 in the hijack and Greg Himmelbrand raised to 20,000 on the button. Brereton counted out his stack and shoved, and Himmelbrand raised his chips high in the air and slammed them into the pot, revealing {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}.

Brereton had {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} and turned massive outs with the {5-Clubs}.

"Lot of cards to fade now," Himmelbrand said.

He did so on the {10-Hearts} river though and collected a double for 41,400.

Koziz Takes From Serock

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

Joe Serock, Adrian Mateos, and Robert Kozik were all still in the pot with the board down {k-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. Serock bet 5,000 which made Mateos think. The Spaniard gave himself a minute before he folded and with the action on Koziz he quickly raised to 16,000, and Serock quickly folded.

Drinan Has the Big Slick

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

In a battle of blinds, Adam Horowitz and Connor Drinan made it to the {J-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} river with roughly 11,000 in the pot. Horowitz checked to Drinan who bet 6,000 and Horowitz called. Drinan opened {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} and Horowitz couldn't compete with that.

"Again?" another player on that table asked, indicating that Drinan had already shown this hand today.

Garcia Forces Out Keener

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

With about 15,000 in the middle and the {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} on the table, Justin Keener fired 7,500 out of position. Cord Garcia was on the button and he slid forward a pile of orange chips to cover Keener's stack which was 35,800 total.

Keener eventually folded and Garcia offered him to peel one of his cards if he'd let Garcia do the same. Garcia turned up the {7-Hearts} of Keener and Keener opened Garcia's {K-Spades} in return.

Andrews Takes Two

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

Thi Nguyen was involved in a three-bet pot and had to fold on the river against a third barrel to drop some chips.

The same table also features a short-stacked Cherish Andrews, who won two small pots in quick succession. Both times, Andrews had raised to 1,200. In the first hand she picked up one caller and took it down on a flop of {A-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Spades}. In the second hand, Andre Krieger and Nguyen called and checked to Andrews on the {K-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop. Andrews bet 2,000 and that won the pot right there.

A few tables over, Keith Block, who had more than half of his stack early on, raised to 1,600 on the button. The small blind called and Fahredin Mustafov three-bet to 7,600 in the big blind. Block moved all in, the small blind and Mustafov folded instantly.

Soho Eliminated

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

Walter Soho started the day with only 15 big blinds and just now he has lost them all.

He pushed all in holding {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} on a {J-}{10-}{X-} flop. His opponent was holding {K-}{J-} and Soho needed a queen, nine or ace for the winning hand. The turn was the {K-} and the river a complete blank awarding the pot to his opponent.
