Final draws went pat and one and Kuzmin checked to Freund, who checked behind to take their hands to showdown.

Defending Champ Wins at Showdown

Hanh Tran opened from the hijack and was three-bet by Benjamin Friesen in the cutoff. After action folded back to him, Tran made the call and each player proceeded to take one and check each of the first two draws. Third draws went one and one again and Tran bet on the end. Friesen flung in a chip to make the call and verbalized an {8-}{6-}-low.

Tran tabled {7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} and Friesen flung his cards to the muck.

"Really? Eight-six?" said Tran, somewhat surprised. Friesen confirmed he was not lying.

Bohlman Wins Three-Way Pot

In a three-way pot between Farah Galfond in the small blind, Scott Bohlman in the hijack, and Kyle Miaso on the button, each player put two bets in after the first draw. Second draws went one, pat, one and Galfond checked to Bohlman, who put out a bet. Miaso and Galfond both called and final draws again went one, pat, one. All three players checked through to showdown.

Bohlman tabled {8-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}, good enough to take down the pot as Galfond and Miaso mucked their hands.

Melancon Showered, Hoeppner Wins Multi-Way Pot With Wheel

Niveau 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Joseph Melancon committed his final 1,000 chips from under the gun, letting the entire table know he was all in. James Hoeppner limped from the hijack and John Seiter limped behind him in the cutoff. Carol Fuchs was on the button and put in a raise, which both Hoeppner and Seiter called. Melancon stood pat before Hoeppner, Seiter, and Fuchs all drew two cards. Action for the side pot then saw Hoeppner check, Seiter bet, and both Fuchs and Hoeppner call.

Second draws went pat, two, one, one and Hoeppner checked to Seiter, who again bet. Fuchs folded and Hoeppner put in a check-raise. Seiter made the call. On the final draw, Melancon drew two after standing pat during the previous two draws. "Miracle, please!" he pleaded to the dealer. Both Hoeppner and Seiter stood pat and Hoeppner bet out on the end, prompting Seiter to call. All three players then tabled their hands at showdown.
