The final six-handed No-Limit Hold'em event of the 2019 WSOP gets underway at 3 p.m. today, as Event #86: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed Championship takes center stage at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino.

The four-day spectacle is one of the final opportunities for players to get their hands on a special 50th anniversary WSOP gold bracelet and what is sure to be a massive six-figure top-prize.

This time last year, Shaun Deeb came through a 355 player-field to capture his fourth bracelet and a first-place prize worth $814,179. Deeb defeated Paul Volpe heads-up on a final table that featured the likes of Romain Lewis, Scott Margereson and John Andress.

The $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed Championship last summer was one of several events to trial the big blind ante format, and of course, due to its success, the format has been rolled out across all 2019 WSOP tournaments.

Players will sit down with a 60,000 chip stack and play ten 60-minute levels. Level one will begin with blinds at 100-100-100 big blind ante, and there will be 15-minute breaks after every two levels.

Stay tuned to PokerNews across the next four days as we bring you coverage from the first 'Shuffle Up and Deal' all the way through to the crowning of a new champion!

Frenchman Julien Sitbon raised to 300 from the cutoff, and both Ricardo Alvarado and Barry Hutter called.

The flop fell {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, and Alvarado bet 500 from the button after the action checked to him. Only Sitbon called, and he checked after the {10-Clubs} hit the turn. Alvarado bet 1,400 and Sitbon gave up.

Alvarado, who won this year's Event #64 $888 No Limit Hold'em - Crazy Eights for $888,888, took in an early win.

Chidwick Takes From Boika

Niveau 1 : 100/100, 100 ante

In a three-bet preflop pot, the board fell {8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Spades}{a-Clubs}, and Aliaksei Boika checked from the cutoff. Stephen Chidwick bet 3,500 from the button, and Boika called before the {j-Clubs} hit the river.

Boika checked again, and Chidwick fired for 12,000.

Boika sat silently for a 30 seconds before the man from Belarus pushed his cards to the dealer and allowed recent bracelet winner Chidwick to pick up the pot.
