More Set to Join on Day 2 of Event #86: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed Championship

Yuri Dzivielevski is among the top stacks

At 2 p.m. local time in Las Vegas, Day 2 of Event #86: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed Championship will begin with the 113 players who bagged overnight returning to action.

However, with late registration open until the start of play and with a fresh 60,000 stack worth 30 big blinds, the number of entrants is set to increase.

One player who will be glad he joined the action on Day 1 is Felix Bleiker (425,400) who rose to the top of the chip counts by the end of the night.

Recent Event #51: $2,500 Mixed Omaha champion Yuri Dzivielevski (329,000), John Andress (329,000), Andrey Pateychuk (320,300), Mustapha Kanit (285,400), and Sergi Reixach (278,600) are also well positioned for Day 2.

The field comprised of a whole host of respected players such name as David Peters (213,200), John Hennigan (188,500), Barry Hutter (156,100), Ben Heath (149,700), Jennifer Tilly (117,600), Nick Schulman (115,000), Alex Foxen (105,300), Andras Nemeth (103,600), Robert Mizrachi (96,800), Sam Greenwood (84,800), and Stephen Chidwick (62,500), all of whom return today.

Play will begin at the start of level 11, with blinds at 1,000-2,000 and a 2,000 big blind ante.

There will be a 15-minute break after every two levels, with a 60-minute dinner break scheduled for the end of level 26.

Full prize pool and payout information will be posted once announced by the Tournament Director following the seating of all late registrations.

Shaun Deeb wins the 2018 WSOP $10k 6-Max Championship

As mentioned earlier, one of the Day 2 entrants who sat down with a fresh 60,000 stack was Shaun Deeb.

Deeb won his fourth WSOP bracelet in this event last year after a heads-up victory over Paul Volpe.

Interestingly, Deeb is joined at his table by Volpe as the two rivals look set to continue their battle.

In Deeb's most recent hand, Dong Chen raised to 4,500 from the cutoff and Deeb three-bet to 14,000 from the big blind.

Chen thought about his next move for 30 seconds but ultimately gave up and Deeb took the pot.

Lewis Eliminated by Hutter

Barry Hutter was all in from the small blind for around 75,000, and Romain Lewis had the decision to make on the button sat with a similar stack.

Hutter revealed for two pair, and Lewis nodded his head before showing .

Lewis, who finished in 60th place in this year's Main Event for $142,215, departed from the table and Hutter swooped the pot.

2019 POY Front Runner Campbell Eliminated in Brutal Fashion

Robert Campbell is currently in the lead for the Player-of-the-Year ranking by a very small margin. Campbell tried to score some more points by entering at the very last moment in the tournament. He started the day with a fresh 60,000 but he wasn't able to make it work this time.

Campbell's stack was down to 43,500 when he got it in the middle from the hijack. He was called by small blind Ben Heath and the big blind got out of the way.

The flop was still safe for Campbell but the delivered a devastating blow. The didn't change anything on the board and the pot was pushed to Heath while Campbell was already out of the tournament area on his way to register a new tournament.

Kanit Bursts the Money Bubble

The action folded around to Mustapha Kanit on the button, and he moved all in for his last 30,000.

Steve Sung called in the small blind before Kahle Burns raised to 105,000. Sung opted to reraise to 300,000 and Burns went into the tank.

Burns counted his stack and asked Sung to do the same, with Burns finding out just 10,000 chips covered him.

Burns asked the floor for confirmation on the payout procedure and was informed that if two players at the same table were eliminated in the same hand, the player with the higher amount of chips would receive the payout.

The Australian then thought for another 30 seconds and decided to call.

The flop fell , and Sung instantly shoved which got a quick fold from Burns.

Sung revealed , and Kanit was ahead with .

But Kanit saw the hit the turn, and he fell behind with the no help for the Italian.

Sung took in the massive 980,000 pot, and Kanit departed with no cash for his efforts.

The remaining 41 players were told they were in the money spots by the Tournament Director and normal play resumed.

Huber Eliminates Nitsche

Deeb hit a queen on the flop but also saw Goehring improve to a set. Deeb was half out of his seat when he picked up the up-and-down straight draw on the turn, but the defending champion departed when the river card was no use to him.

Day 2 entrant Deeb exits in 17th place for $28,618 but will be back in action in the $1,500 Closer tomorrow after he bagged the Day 1b chip lead.
