Jacobson Flops Both of His Outs to Double

Niveau 5 : 250/500, 75 ante
Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

Martin Jacobson got his last 7,050 in from middle position and was called by the player on his immediate left.

Jacobson: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

The dealer turned over the {3-Clubs} in the window, and it was followed by the {9-Clubs} and the {9-Diamonds}, giving the 2014 Main Event Champ quads.

"Don't worry, you're live," someone joked to the player with aces.

The turn was the {7-Hearts}, so that was no longer true, and the river was the {j-Spades}.

Updated Brasilia Counts in the Last Level

Niveau 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

On a heads-up flop of {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, the player in the cutoff checked and Chris Hunichen bet 1,800 from one seat over on the button. The cutoff called and the {6-Spades} turn was checked. After the {3-Hearts} river, Hunichen's opponent bet for 6,000 and the American poker pro started some table chat.

"I am tired of folding every river," Hunichen added and took a minute before releasing his cards, remaining below the starting stack. Below are further updated stacks of the Brasilia room in the last level of the night.

Michael Kim Falcon Takes Two Sizable Pots

Niveau 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

After an early open, Michael Kim Falcon made it 3,500 on the button. The opener came back with a four-bet to 8,500, and Falcon called. Falcon called barrels of 9,000 on the {6-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Hearts} flop and 17,000 on the {2-Hearts} turn. Both players checked the {8-Clubs} river, and Falcon showed {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a set and took the pot.

A couple of hands later, Falcon tangled with the player on his right, the two seeing a final board of {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. The first player bet 6,500, and Falcon min-raised to 13,000. His opponent released after some thought, sending another decent-sized pot Falcon's way.

Brown Chipping Up; Goff and Cianelli Even

Niveau 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Victor Cianelli had been chipping up early, while Fred Goff III was reduced to only 12,000 at some point. According to Goff and Cianelli, that changed when the former found pocket aces in the midst of telling a story to the table and got it in against the pocket kings of Cianelli.

Cianelli claimed a late pot in the current level, raising to 1,125. Sergon Toma called with his short stack in the cutoff, and Goff called in the big blind. The flop came {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, and Cianelli's bet of 2,700 won the pot with no further resistance.

As far as Ronnie Brown is concerned, he keeps adding chips to an already impressive stack. In a heads-up pot on the {K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Spades} turn, he bet 7,600 on the button, and the James Carroll called in the small blind. The {J-Spades} river killed the action, and both players checked. Carroll showed {K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, and Brown scooped the pot with {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

Dixon Dodges and Doubles

Niveau 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Rich Dixon was all in for his last 34,000 and was facing a major sweat. He held {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} on a {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop, and had shoved after his opponent had raised. His opponent called with {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} to put Dixon at risk.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and the river the {8-Hearts} to secure the double-up for Dixon.
