Brian Rast
Brian Rast

With about 7,500 chips already in the middle and the completed board reading {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, Brian Rast was in the cutoff and facing a decision for 9,000 against the player in the big blind. Rast went into the tank briefly, rechecked his hole cards, and said "I'm gonna go with my gut" just before he tossed his cards into the muck. His opponent showed the {10-Clubs} and Rast nodded, saying he'd folded a pretty strong hand. Although this pot didn't have Rast's name on it, the three-time bracelet winner is off to quite a strong start in this first level of play.

Tony “Top Pair” Dunst

Niveau 1 : 75/150, 0 ante

There was an open to 400 and a call from the button and Tony Dunst made it three with a call from the big blind.

The flop was {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{q-Hearts} and it checked to the player on the button who bet 1,200. Dunst called and the other player folded.

The turn card was the {j-Diamonds} with no action, and on the river {a-Hearts} Dunst went for a modest bet of 600. His opponent gave it a little thought and called.

“I’ve got a queen,” Dunst said as he turned over his {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and his opponent mucked.

“Top pairing my way through,” Dunst added of his hit on the flop for this early pot.
