Platis's opponent bet 11,500 on the turn {2-Clubs} and Platis called. The river was the {7-Spades} and both players checked.

Royal Flush For the Magician?

Niveau 7 : 400/800, 100 ante
Antonio Esfandiari
Antonio Esfandiari

On a board of {10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{K-Hearts} Antonio Esfandiari was facing off against one other player who was in the big blind. The player checked to him and Esfandiari was thinking through his decision. With already over 23,000 in the pot, Esfandiari put out a bet of 10,300 from the hijack seat.

The player dropped into the tank and thought for a couple of minutes before he folded {A-}{K-} face up.

"You gotta show the royal," one of Esfandiari's neighbors said.

"I didn't have a royal," Esfandiari replied. "I wish I had a royal." Esfandiari then looked in the direction of his opponent. "The river saved you money."

"You must've had a big hand then," he replied.

After that hand, Esfandiari moved past 80,000 chips.

Graffeo Flushes Petrangelo

Niveau 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Michael Graffeo raised from early position and picked up calls by Nick Petrangelo on the button and Jonathan Lawson in the big blind. On the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{8-Spades} flop, the action checked to Petrangelo and he bet 2,000. Only Graffeo called and the duo checked the {10-Clubs} turn. Graffeo also checked the {2-Spades} river and Petrangelo checked behind to muck once he was shown {7-Spades}{6-Spades} for a flush by Graffeo.

The same table also features Goran Mandic, who was moved over with less than 20 big blinds. The table broke right after with everyone heading to a new table in the Pavilion room.
