Tough Spot for Saliba, Balsiger Benefits

Niveau 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Jacob Balsiger
Jacob Balsiger

Vivian Saliba bet 150,000 on the river of a {5-}{5-}{2-}{j-}{3-} board and Jake Balsiger check-raised all-in for 446,000.

Saliba went into the tank, only having about 515,000 herself. Several moments went by and eventually, Saliba tossed in a calling chip.

Balsiger tabled {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for a full house, besting Saliba's {5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and the former November Niner doubled, leaving Saliba with crumbs.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Zelman paired his king. The turn was the {q-Hearts}, giving Hall a straight draw, but the river was the {k-Hearts} and she was sent to the rail.

Faraz Jaka

With a substantial pot of about 120,000 already brewing and the board reading {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, Ankush Mandavia checked from early position to his lone opponent, Faraz Jaka in middle position. Jaka bet 87,000, and after a bit of thought, Mandavia called.

Phillips Avoids a Flush Draw

Niveau 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Sam Phillips
Sam Phillips

There was a raise to 27,000 from under the gun and Samuel Phillips called from directly to his left. The big blind also came along and the flop came {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}.

The action was checked to Phillips who bet 55,000 and the big blind called. His other opponent moved all in for 302,000 and Phillips made the call, leaving himself with only 40,000 behind. The big blind tanked for a couple minutes but eventually decided to fold. Phillips tabled {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and his opponent showed {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

The turn was the {8-Spades} and the river brought the {5-Spades}, securing the win for Phillips. After losing half of his stack this level, this pot was a nice boost for Phillips heading into the break.

Ibrahim Nasief
Ibrahim Nasief

On a flop of {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, Christoph Vogelsang checked from the big blind, Ibrahim Nasief checked from under the gun, and a player in middle position checked behind.

The turn brought the {5-Clubs} and action checked around again.

The {K-Clubs} fell on the river and Vogelsang checked. Nasief bet 56,000, the player in middle position folded, and Vogelsang, who had about 170,000 chips remaining, went into the tank. He peeked back at his hole cards and after just under a minute, he called. Nasief showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} for rivered top pair, top kicker. Vogelsang flashed the {K-Hearts} as he mucked and Nasief took the pot.
