Christian Pham chipleader, Quatre Français au Jour 7

Niveau 32 : 120,000/240,000, 40,000 ante
Valentin Messina
Valentin Messina

Joshua Horton
Joshua Horton

Jack Sinclair raised to 575,000 on the button. Joshua Horton was in the big blind and defended.

The flop was {4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, and Horton led for what appeared to be 900,000. Sinclair called, and the turn was the {9-Hearts}. Horton got his remaining chips into the middle, which appeared to be about 6,015,000, and Sinclair called.

Jack Sinclair: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Joshua Horton: {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Horton would have to hit a two-out straight flush if he was going to survive, but the river was the {5-Spades}.

Horton was eliminated in 28th place, ending the day's play at the three-table redraw.

Piccioli Doubles Through Oliveira

Niveau 31 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante
Bryan Piccioli
Bryan Piccioli

Pedro Oliveira opened from the button with a raise to 525,000. Bryan Piccioli was next to act, and he three-bet, making it 1,555,000. Action was back on Oliveira, and he moved all it. At lightning speed, Piccioli announced a call and plopped a stack of his chips into the middle.

Oliviera: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Piccioli: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}

"I didn't suck out the entire tournament," Oliveira said, standing up from his chair. "I ask for my one time now. I don't know. I might flop a straight. I feel pretty confident."

The flop came down {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}, keeping Oliveira live, at least for the time being. The turn was the {4-Spades}, and Oliveira could only river a king to steal away the pot. But the river was the {5-Hearts}, and that sealed the double up for Piccioli, who was all in for 7,375,000 and doubled to over 15 million.

Krasienko Gets Shove Through, Then Doubles

Michael Krasienko Doubles

Action folded to Christian Pham in the cutoff, and he opened to 575,000. Michael Krasienko was in the big blind and moved all in for 4,745,000. Pham tanked for a couple minutes and then elected to muck.

Then, Robin Hegele raised to 555,000 in the cutoff. Krasienko moved all in from the small blind for 5,710,000. Hegele thought for about a minute and called.

Michael Krasienko: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Robin Hegele: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Krasienko needed to fade an ace, hearts or a combination of straight draws to survive, and the flop was {3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, doing exactly that. The turn was the {6-Spades}, and the two players' rails were yelling out for the card that they each wanted to see. The river brought the {8-Diamonds}, sending a massive double-up to Krasienko, who has been patiently waiting for his spots.

Messina Shows the Bluff

Niveau 31 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante
Valentin Messina
Valentin Messina

Valentin Messina raised to 450,000 on the button, and Michael Sklenicka defended the big blind. The Czech player check-called 500,000 on the {3-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} flop, and both players checked the {q-Spades} turn. Sklenicka bet 800,000 when the {9-Hearts} river hit. Messina thought awhile and then slid in 3.8 million.

Sklenicka drew a deep breath and went into the tank as the others headed for break. "Nines?" he asked.

After about three minutes of thought, he spoke up again. "I have the worst value hand," he said, mucking.

Messina showed the bluff, slapping {8-Spades}{5-Diamonds} down on the felt.

"Let's Play Beer Poker!"

Pedro Oliveira
Pedro Oliveira

Action folded around to Pedro Oliveira. He limped in from the small blind.

"Let's play beer poker!" he said, raising his cup and taking a sip.

"I hope you're ready to cheers before the flop," Bryan Piccioli said from the big blind. The two man tapped their glasses and took a sip, then Piccioli checked, taking the two to a flop.

On the {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop, Oliveira bet 200,000. Piccioli and Oliveira tapped glasses, drank again, and Piccioli called.

Both players checked on the {J-Hearts} turn to the {10-Spades} river. There, Oliveira bet 350,000.

Piccioli quickly folded, turning his {Q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} face-up. "I had a really good hand on the flop," he said.

As the dealer saw what transpired, he warned Piccioli not to expose his cards without announcing his action, letting him know that he could receive a penalty.

"What, really?" Piccioli said. "Are you serious?"

"Wait, wait," Oliveira said. "You don't understand. We're playing beer poker. It's different."

The table had a laugh, and Oliveira took down the pot.

Patel: {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Patel was ahead, but the flop came down {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} to give Ott the lead with a pair of nines. The {A-Spades} turn was no help to Patel, nor was the {8-Hearts} river, ending his Main Event in 29th place.

Justas Vaiciulionis opened under the gun with a raise to 1,650,000. He had just 305,000 behind. Richard Gryko called from the cutoff, and the remaining players folded.

On the {6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{J-Hearts} flop, Vaiciulionis moved all in for the rest, and Gryko called.

Vaiciulionis: {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Gryko: {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

Gryko's ace-high was in the lead. Vaiciulionis was looking for a king or a queen. The {3-Hearts} turn provided Vaiciulionis flush outs, but the {7-Clubs} river couldn't save him.

Vaiciulionis became the 30th-place finisher in the Main Event, taking home $214,913 for his efforts.

Action folded to Richard Gryko in early position, and he opened to 450,000. Jack Sinclair called in late position, Richard Dubini called in the cutoff, and Christian Pham defended his big blind, taking the action four ways to the flop.

The flop was {9-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{9-Spades}, and all players checked. The turn was the {2-Hearts}, and action checked to Sinclair, who bet 650,000. Dubini called, and the other two players folded. The river was the {j-Diamonds}, and Sinclair checked. Dubini took a moment and then bet 1,500,000. After quite a long tank and after questioning Dubini, Sinclair called.

Dubini tabled {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}, and Sinclair tapped the table and sent his cards to the dealer.

Bazeley Lands Himself Four Ladies

Jake Bazeley

Karen Sarkisyan raised to 500,000 from middle position, and Jake Bazeley moved all in for 4,500,000 from the small blind. Sarkisyan took a quick look at his cards and then immediately called.

Bazeley was at risk with {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, well behind Sarkisyan's {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}.

The waiter was going around asking if anyone wanted a Corona. "I'm gonna need seven," said Bazeley.

The flop came {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, and Bazeley and his rail cheered after they saw he made quad queens. "Put out an ace for a sweat, dealer" laughed Pedro Oliveira.

The turn was the {j-Spades}, and Bazeley celebrated. The river was the insignificant {k-Hearts}, and Bazeley doubled through.
