Lutes Paid on River

Niveau 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Scott Stewart opened to 240,000 in the hijack, and Travis Lutes defended his big blind. Lutes check-called 250,000 on the {10-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{3-Spades} flop, and both players checked the {j-Clubs}. Lutes bet 525,000 on the {4-Hearts} river, and Stewart called fairly quickly but couldn't beat {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

Artan Dedusha Eliminated in 52nd Place ($145,733)

Niveau 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante
Artan Dedusha

In the first hand back from the break, Jack Sinclair raised to 250,000 and Artan Dedusha moved all in from the button for just over 20 big blinds. Dan Ott in the big blind peeked at his cards and announced call. He was about to turn over his cards before the dealer and other players pointed out that Sinclair was still to act.

"Oh, sorry. I didn't even see you were in the hand," Ott said.

Sinclair replied, "I was gonna fold anyways," which he did moments later.

Dedusha: {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Ott: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The flop of {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} was no good for Dedusha, as two of his outs were gone. After the {10-Spades} turn, the Brit picked up a gutshot, but a blank {8-Spades} on the river ended his run in 52nd place for $145,733.

Max Silver
Max Silver

Max Silver raised to 210,000 under the gun just after taking a seat at Table 724. He got two callers, and the flop came {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Action checked to Michael Sklenicka on the button, and he bet 350,000. Only Silver continued. The British player check-called 750,000 more on the {8-Hearts} turn and checked a final time when the {8-Clubs} double-paired the board. Sklenicka bet 1.3 million, and Silver finally released.

Saout Four-Bets and Takes

Niveau 28 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

Action folded around to Antoine Saout on the button and he raised to 225,000. Mike Linster was in the small blind and after some thought, three-bet to 710,000. Saout then four-bet to 1,240,000 and sent Linster into the tank. After a couple of minutes deliberating and as the break had just begun, Linster mucked his hand sending a nice pot to Saout heading into the break.

Pollak Puts Zhou to the Test

Niveau 28 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

Christian Pham raised to 275,000 from middle position and got calls from Benjamin Pollak in the hijack and Zu Zhou in the small blind.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and all three players checked to the {4-Diamonds} on the turn. Both Zhou and Pham checked. Pollak bet 455,000 and Zhou put in a check-raise to 1,375,000. Pham agonized over the decision and eventually folded. Pollak asked for a confirmation of the bet and called.

The river was the {j-Diamonds} and Zhou paused for a moment before deciding to check. Pollak stared him down and reached into his stack to put out a bet worth 550,000. Zhou folded.

Wesley Pantling Eliminated in 53rd Place ($145,733)

Niveau 28 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante
Wesley Pantling
Wesley Pantling

Joshua Horton raised to 275,000 and Wesley Pantling moved all in from two seats over. The action folded back to Horton and he asked for a count. Pantling was all in for 1,440,000 and Horton gave it brief consideration before announcing the call.

Pantling: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Horton: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

"A standard flip," Artan Dedusha added before the flop came {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Horton improved to top set and Pantling needed one of the four remaining queens in the deck in order to avoid elimination. It was all over on the {10-Spades} turn, as Horton improved to a full house, and this made the {Q-Clubs} river a cruel formality.

Pantling was eliminated in 53rd place and takes home $145,733 for his efforts.
