Zhou and Mrakes No More

Niveau 18 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Quan Zhou
Quan Zhou

Quan Zhou had nursed a shorter stack for quite some time and just flopped top pair with {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} only to find himself up against the {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} of Saar Wilf for an overpair on the {j-}{9-}{6-} flop. The {9-Diamonds} turn and {a-Spades} river were both blanks and Zhou headed to the payout desk.

Shortly after, Michal Mrakes was also spotted on the way out of the poker arena. Julien Martini and David "ODB" Baker confirmed what had happened. Harry Ross had opened to 40,000 and picked up calls by Mustafa Biz and Georgios Vrakas. Mrakes pushed for 500,000 out of the blinds with the {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Ross reshoved with jacks to hold up on a ten-high board.

"Jacks? Pocket nines?" Blasko replied and half a minute later Schulze moved all in, Blasko called instantly.

Niveau 18 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Jack Sinclair
Jack Sinclair

The action folded around to the blinds who quickly got all of their chips in the middle. Jack Sinclair was at risk for around 250,000 in the big blind and was up against Anthony Zinno in the small blind.

Anthony Zinno: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Jack Sinclair: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}

The flop of {7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} gave Zinno a set and Sinclair was all but out of the tournament. The {a-Hearts} on the turn confirmed it as the {10-Hearts} on the river was just a formality. The 2018 WSOP Europe Main Event champion was eliminated and will not be able to defend his title.

Anthony Zinno
Anthony Zinno

Anthony Zinno has returned from the last break on a tear and is showing no signs of slowing down. In three consecutive hands, Zinno put all of his chips at risk but found no callers. However, after Joao Vieira opened to 35,000, Zinno three-bet to 125,000. Vieira jammed all in and Zinno called off his stack of 398,000.

Anthony Zinno: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Joao Vieira: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

It was a coin flip and Vieira held on to the lead after a flop of {q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}. The {a-Diamonds} on the turn paired Zinno and he grabbed a stranglehold on the pot. The {5-Hearts} completed the board and Zinno finally found the double up that he was looking for.
