Andrea Ricci open-shoved for 505,000 from the hijack and was called by Enrico Camosci in the small blind.
Andrea Ricci: A♥6♣
Enrico Camosci: A♦K♣
Ricci was in bad shape but the 4♣6♥7♣ flop paired his six to take a big lead. The 3♦ turn and 9♠ river did not help Camosci, who doubled up his fellow Italian.
Alberti Sanaia opened to 160,000 from the cutoff and Pavel Svach defended from the big blind.
The flop came Q♦10♣9♦. Svach checked, Sanaia bet 215,000 and Svach moved all in, covering Sanaia who had a bit over 1,000,000 behind. Sanaia used his last remaining time extension. 30 more seconds went by without Sanaia making a decision and his hand was declared dead after which Svach took the pot.
Anson Tsang raised to 120,000 in early position and was called by Enrico Camosci in the cutoff. Tsang continued for 85,000 on the Q♣A♥3♠ flop and Camosci called.
The Q♥ turn went check-check before Tsang fired 195,000 on the 4♥ river. Camosci spent some time in the tank and then threw in a calling chip.
Tsang could only show J♣9♣ for jack-high, meaning Camosci's 8♠8♣ won him the pot.
Pavel Svach raised to 125,000 in the cutoff. Simone Andrian defended his big blind and then check-raised on the 10♥8♥5♣ flop. Svach had continued for 175,000, which Andrian made 525,000 to go.
Svach called to the Q♦ turn, which they both checked. Andrian picked up the aggression again and fired 450,000 on the 4♦ river and was snapped off by Svach.
Andrian tabled Q♠J♦ for top pair, eliciting a sigh from Svach as he paid his opponent.
The next hand, Andrian open-jammed from the small blind and Alberti Sanaia instantly called off his stack of 1,200,000 in the big blind.
Alberti Sanaia: A♠K♣
Simone Andrian: 5♥5♣
"I think it's going to be hard for you," Andrian said before the 8♥K♠4♦ flop was dealt.
It turned out Andrian was right, as the 10♣5♦ runout rivered him a set, beating the flopped top pair of Sanaia. Sanaia immediately left the tournament floor as Andrian stacked up an enormous pile of chips.
The action was picked up on the turn with the board showing 2♣A♠3♠A♣. Daniel Rezaei bet 375,000 from the cutoff and Marcello Manganiello called out of the small blind.
Manganiello checked the 4♠ river and Rezaei bet 1,500,000. Manganiello thought it over for a few moments before making the call.
Rezaei turned over A♦3♦ for a full house and dragged in the pot, as Manganiello turned over Q♠8♠ for a rivered flush.
Sirzat Hissou pushed all in for 1,150,000 and was looked up by Anson Tsang in the small blind.
Sirzat Hissou: A♠10♥
Anson Tsang: 8♥8♦
The 4♣J♥5♠ flop did not help Hissou, although the Q♠ turn did give him a gutshot. It did not come in on the 9♠ river, however, and the Day 1 and Day 2 chipleader was sent home in 26th.
George Tomescu shoved from the small blind and Andria Gogelidze made the call for his last 400,000 from the big blind.
Andria Gogelidze; 8♠7♠
George Tomescu: A♣K♥
Gogelidze needed to hit something if he was to remain in contention in the Main Event. The dealer put out a board of 3♣A♦6♠8♦A♠ to give Tomescu the winner with trip aces, sending Gogelidzto the rail.
On the feature table, Sirzat Hissou was seen exiting the tournament area and was eliminated.
