Michael Addamo Finds a Double

Niveau 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

In a battle of the blinds, Norbert Berent and Michael Addamo were at it with the latter at risk of elimination holding {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}. Berent had {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and found a gutshot on the {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop. The {9-Spades} turn left just the four tens in the deck as outs for Berent, but a blank showed up as final community card and Addamo doubled.

The cards of Erik Friberg were already in the muck when his stack was sent over to table neighbor Stephen Malone. Friberg had defended his big blind against a raise by Malone, who was in under the gun, and then shoved the {J-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop with {J-}{8-} for top pair.

Malone called with the {A-Hearts}{J-Spades} and the {K-Hearts} turn and {9-Spades} river were blanks for Friberg.
