Last Big Hand for Angeleri

Niveau 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

Robert Angeleri opened and it was raised to 6,000 by the cutoff player. Thomas Sholze moved all in from the big blind and Angeleri reshoved, putting the cutoff's tournament at risk. The latter ended up calling and the three players tabled their cards.

Holding {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}, Angeleri was in good shape to win a big pot for the last hand of the day, facing {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for the cutoff and {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} for Sholze. The board {k-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{a-Spades}{q-Hearts} improved Angeleri's hand into a set of aces and sent the cutoff player to the rail while Sholze fell down to 18,200.

Anderson Keeps Climbing

Niveau 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

Calvin Anderson opened for 2,000 in the hijack and only the big blind player made the call.

The flop brought {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and the big blind bet 2,300. Anderson called and the turn fell a {k-Hearts}. After a check, Anderson bet 3,800 and it was enough to take the pot without more resistance.

The board showed {4-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and the players were heads-up with a huge pot already containing around 42,000.

Thomas Sholze, situated in the small blind position, moved all in for a remaining stack worth 25,000, sending his opponent deep into the tank. The latter ended up folding reluctantly and Scholze took down the pot.
