Tran Let it Go

Niveau 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

The under-the-gun player opened for 1,100 and JC Tran three-bet to 3,500 from the button. He was called by Paul Newey in the small blind, the player in the big blind, and the under-the-gun player to create a four-way pot.

The flop came {9-Spades}{a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Tran continued for 5,500 after it was checked to him. Newey and the big blind folded but the under-the-gun player decided to raise it to 12,000. Tran called.

When the {7-Clubs} fell on the turn, the under-the-gun player bet 13,000 and after some thinking, Tran mucked his cards.

Jay Farber
Jay Farber

Jay Farber shoved under-the-gun for his last 8,200 and was three-bet by the player directly behind him. Everyone else folded and cards were revealed.

Jay Farber: {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Opponent: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Farber was in rough shape, but the {2-Spades}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts} runout provided him with a runner-runner straight, which was good for the double up.

Yueh Makes the Right Choice

Niveau 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Joining the action on the {k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds} turn, Jonathan Yueh bet 11,100 out of the blinds and Tom Choi then raised to 30,000. Yueh had some 32,000 behind and was sent into the think tank.

"I have a big hand, I will show," Choi promised. Yueh reacted to that, gave it some more thought and folded the {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} face-up. Choi kept his promise and revealed {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for a flopped set of fours.

"Wow, what a laydown, I could not fold that," Choi remarked. Another player at the table chimed in "Main Event baby, Main Event."
