L'Event #67 WSOP 2021 Freezout à 10 000$ est entré dans sa deuxième phase dans la nuit de jeudi à vendredi. 2 362 survivants se sont présentés au Rio et l'organisation a finalement poussé jusqu'à la réunification du field dans l'Amazon Room puis l'entrée dans les places payées. Les qualifiés pour le Jour 4 sont assurés d'un gain de 15 000$ et peuvent rêver du premier prix de 8 millions de dollars!
Après six journées de départ et deux Day 2 pour 20 heures de poker les joueurs ont presque disputé 6 niveaux de 2 heures lors de ce Jour 3 au long court! Ils étaient 6 650 sur la ligne de départ du tournoi, seuls ceux qui toucheront une part du prizepool de 62 millions de dollars sont encore en course après une journée de plus de dix heures où il y a eu plus de deux éliminés par minute !
2 362 rescapés à l'entame de la journée et finalement 1000 joueurs dans l'argent grâce au badbeat infligé par Chris Alafogiannis au pauvre Kevin Campbell. L'Américain a mis ses 11 dernières blindes au milieu avec les 
et le Canadien a touché trips

Campbell s'est offert un souvenir pour la vie et une entrée pour le Main Event WSOP 2022... mais il faudra recommencer dès le début. Eliminés quelques longues minutes plus tôt, le main par main a duré 8 donnes et a commencé à 10005 left, Andrew Flaherty et Jared Jaffee sont eux repartis les mains réellement vides.
Chris Alafogiannis en a profité pour glaner quelques chips supplémentaires et finir proche du million avec près de 900 000 jetons pour la reprise qui aura lieu avec 90 minutes à jouer sur 4000 - 8000 (8000). Un stack qui ne lui permet néanmoins pas d'être au sommet puisque les patrons du tournoi voguent déjà vers un tapis approchant le double !
La journée de la réunification du Main Event de la 52 édition des WSOP a souri à une joueuse puisque Jessica Cai s'est installée aux commandes du tournoi. L'Américaine a une fiche Hendon Mob rempli de résultats remontant à moins de deux ans, elle a emballé 1 796 000 pions soit encore 224 blindes à l'entame du Jour 4. Avec 1,2 million de jetons sa compatriote Dragana Lim a connu elle aussi une journée faste.
Le premier prix de 8 millions de dollars est encore très loin, il faudra atteindre la finale pour empocher un gain à 7 chiffres et il le Top 63 pour gagner une somme à 6 chiffres d'au moins 113 800$. Avec 1,3 millions de jetons, le Français Johan Martinet pourra s'autoriser à rêver avant de repartir au combat lors du Day 4.
Le Français est juste derrière l'ancien vainqueur Chris Moneymaker, toujours dans les hauteurs du classement où figure un Thaïlandais, un Australien (4e), un Allemand (7e), un Irlandais (8e)...

Un autre tricolore est entré dans un cercle de bonne compagnie. Déjà bien en place depuis l'entame du tournoi, Clément van Driessche a continué à empiler les jetons lors du Jour 3. Il termine avec 1 189 000 jetons, au contact des meilleurs et pas loin de Gianluca Speranza (1,3 million) et Stephen Chidwick (1,2 million). Le joueur Nutsr fait partie des commandants du contingent de Français entrés dans l'argent sur ce Main Event WSOP 2021.
Il y avait 60 tricolores en lice à l'entame de la journée et Robin Guillaumot a sué puisqu'il a du faire carré contre la couleur max du vainqueur WSOP Stephen Song pour survivre à la bulle. Le vainqueur EPT Arnaud Mattern était partie d'en bas du chipcount mais il a mené sa barque pour atteindre la terre promise et envisager un deep-run... comme son compère Ivan Deyra (565 000)
Les deux anciens joueurs sponsorisés ont tout de même moins de jetons que Nicolas Vayssière, le Français en freeroll (qualifié sur le King 5 de Winamax, ndlr) ayant terminé avec 710 000 pions. Il y aura finalement 31 tricolores dans l'argent... Nicolas Dumont, Slimane Mameche, Franck Kalfon, Antonin Teisseire, Gilles Lamy, José Astima, Michael Schwartz, Ulysse Harry auront aussi des jetons pour le Day 4.

Du côté des étrangers, l'Anglais Tobby Lewis a monté un million pour le Jour 4, Jason Koon aussi. Koray Aldemir (900 000), Nick Petrangelo (860 000), Selahaddin Bedir (850 000), Conrad De Armas (830 000), Chance Kornuth (780 000), Tim Reilly (770 000), Andrew Ostapchenko (760 000), Alex Livingston (750 000), Ben Yu (750 000) et Peter Jetten (750 000) se sont bien positionnés.

and another wave of energy went through the crowd as Alafogiannis picked up a flush draw.

and a large roar ripped through the crowd for the three nines of Alafogiannis. Campbell's aces were cracked and he was eliminated on the stone bubble.
"It's all good. What are you gonna do?" Campbell said as WSOP Vice President Jack Effel offered his condolences and an opportunity to return for the 2022 Main Event.

Craig Schauer raised to 18,000 from the small blind and Matthew Hunt three-bet to 75,000 from the big blind. Schauer contemplated for a bit and then opted to make the call.
Schauer checked blind before the flop came down with the 
. Hunt bet 45,000 for Schauer to raise to 120,000 which Hunt called.
The turn was the 
and Schauer checked again. This time, Hunt shoved for Schauer to snap-call for the 272,000 he had behind.
Hunt accidentally revealed his cards but flipped them over again. They waited a while for all the action on the other tables to finish while Hunt was visibly regretting all the decisions he made leading up to this moment.
"Am I drawing dead?" Hunt asked Schauer.
"If I saw your cards right, yes." Schauer replied.
Dreading the moment of the reveal, it did come in the end.

The turn brought the , putting three clubs on the board. Fernandez led out with a bet of 65,000 which put his opponent into the tank for a bit. After a little over a minute, his opponent decided to fold and Fernandez chipped up even more.

and about 100,000 in the pot, Randy Ohel had jammed on the button to put Sebastian Gahl at risk of being the bubble boy if he were to call off his 140,000 remaining stack.
Gahl tanked and a crowd formed before he even made a decision. Eventually, he called for his tournament life. Once the cameras and Jack Effel arrived at the spectacle, the hands were revealed.
