Miracle Comeback for Masters?

Niveau 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Carl Masters
Carl Masters

Shortly after getting his aces cracked in brutal fashion earlier, Carl Masters lost another pot that left him with only three yellow T-1,000 chips, which wasn't even enough to cover the small blind. He and his table confirmed the story, and now he has run that stack up to over 200k and is looking for a miracle chip and a chair story.

Ilani Check-Raises Yoon

Niveau 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Brian Yoon was the initial raiser and Ran Ilani defended the big blind. On the {10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop, Ilani check-called a bet worth 30,000 and the {k-Diamonds} on the turn was checked through. Ilani also checked the {j-Diamonds} on the river and Yoon now bet 35,000. The check-raise of Ilani after some two minutes followed and as soon as the 130,000 were piled in, Yoon instantly folded.

Ganon Rivers Ace to Eliminate Michna

Niveau 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Charles Michna open-jammed for 81,000 from middle position and Ubaid Habib called from the button before Brian Ganon three-bet all in from the big blind.

The bet sent Habib deep into the tank and after a few minutes, he decided not to risk his stack.

Charles Michna: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Brian Ganon: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Michna was racing for his Main Event and the {8-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop kept him in the lead.

The {9-Diamonds} turn didn't change a thing either and just as Michna was looking good to score a triple-up, the {a-Diamonds} fell on the river, giving the Ganon pot while ending Michna's Main Event.

Lewis Jams Into Song

Niveau 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Toby Lewis
Toby Lewis

Stephen Song raised to 17,000 from under the gun and Toby Lewis three-bet to 75,000 out of the small blind for Song to call. On the {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop, Lewis made it 40,000 to go and Song came along. The same procedure repeated on the {2-Hearts} turn as Lewis bet 180,000 and Song called.

After the {5-Clubs} river, Lewis took around 90 seconds before he announced all-in for approximately 600,000 and Song sent his cards into the muck after brief consideration.

Berkey Releases to Kornuth

Niveau 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Chance Kornuth opened to 16,000 from the cutoff and was called by Matt Berkey in the big blind.

Berkey checked to Kornuth on the {2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop and he downbet to 13,000. Berkey called.

The {8-Diamonds} fell on the turn and Berkey checked again. This time Kornuth bet a bit over 50,000 and Berkey quickly folded — conceding the pot to Kornuth.

Weigel Hits Miracle River to Double Through Liu

Niveau 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

JJ Liu raised to 16,000 and Frank Weigel three-bet shoved his last 253,000. Liu was the lone caller.

Frank Weigel: {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
JJ Liu: {q-}{q-}

The board ran out {3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{7-Spades} and the miracle river made sevens full of fives to save Weigel from the brink of elimination.

Grospellier Doubles with Quads

Niveau 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Bertrand Grospellier
Bertrand Grospellier

Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier was heads-up with Jeonggyu Cho on the flop of {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Grospellier checked to Cho who threw in a bet and Grospellier just called.

The turn brought the {q-Hearts} and Grospellier checked again. Cho continued with another bet and Grospellier check-raised all in which Cho ended up calling. Grospellier turned over {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for quad queens while Cho was drawing dead with {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}.

The insignificant {7-Diamonds} completed the board and Grospellier scored a big double up, leaving Cho with crumbs as he would bust just a short time later.
