Wongwichit Flops a Straight and Gets Paid

Niveau 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Picking up the action on the river with a completed board of {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{8-Spades}{k-Diamonds}, Phachara Wongwichit and Tyler Cornell were heads-up in a pot. There was already around 450,000 in the middle and Wongwichit slid out a bet of 300,000.

Cornell instantly flicked in some chips to call and Wongwichit turned over {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a straight. Cornell briefly flashed his {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for trip eights before they hit the muck.

Bhalla's Ballsy Move Backfires

Niveau 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

On a completed board of {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, Eshaan Bhalla checked and Eyal Eshkar in the hijack made it 236,000 to go. Bhalla then jammed for another 501,000 on top and that sent Eshkar deep into the tank. The camera crew rushed by to film the potential all-in showdown and Eshkar eventually tossed in a single chip for the call.

Bhalla rolled over the {k-Spades}{7-Spades} for counterfeited two pair, which were beaten by the {j-Spades}{10-Clubs} for a jack-high straight by Eshkar.

"I had to do it. I have many sevens, king-eight or kings in my range there," Bhalla mentioned in table chat while he waited for the payout runner to arrive with the ticket. Eshkar leaped above two million in chips and admitted that he had been very close to folding.

Zolotow Won't be Squeezed

Niveau 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Steve Zolowtow opened to 35,000 in early position and was called by Andre Akkari from directly behind. Action folded to Daniel Sewnig on the button, who squeezed to 140,000.

It was folded back over to Zolowtow, who went all in after some contemplation. Akkari folded and Sewnig followed suit.

"You're not taking any sh**, are you?" tablemate Alex Goulder said.

"I just get good hands and I raise them," Zolowtow replied as he collected the pot.

Liedtke Dusted

Niveau 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Mark Liedtke
Mark Liedtke

After losing the majority of his stack, Mark Liedtke raised all in for 21,000 from the cutoff and was called by the big blind.

Mark Liedtke: {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Opponent: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Liedtke had his opponent dominated until the {3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop hit the felt giving them trip nines.

The {6-Spades} turn was no good for Liedtke as it left him drawing dead and the {j-Hearts} river ended his Main Event.

Saeed Runs Kings Into Aces and Binks

Niveau 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Omar Saeed was in middle position and ended up getting his 378,000 stack in preflop against the cutoff.

Omar Saeed: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Cutoff: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

Saeed was the victim of a classic cooler as the flop came {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. The dealer then put down the {k-Diamonds} turn which caused the table to roar, and the {5-Spades} completed the board to transform Saeed from victim to victor as he stayed alive and doubled his stack.
