Ott Adds a Million

Niveau 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Paul Senat opened the cutoff for 200,000 and called as small blind Dan Ott three-bet to 525,000.

Ott checked on {3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Senat bet 525,000 with 1,530,000 behind. Ott moved all in and Senat folded after about four minutes in the tank.

"I didn't want to see any more cards," Ott said as the next hand got underway.

"I did," Senat replied.

"I know you did, I didn't!" Ott said.

"What, are you selfish?" Senat ended the conversation with a hint of a grin on his face.

Ihar Soika Eliminated in 81st Place ($85,482)

Niveau 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Ihar Soika
Ihar Soika

From under the gun, Ihar Soika opened with a raise to 170,000. David Guay called from the lojack. Marcel Luske followed along from the cutoff and Alexander Greenblatt called from the big blind as well, creating four-way action heading to a flop.

On the {K-Clubs}{J-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} flop, Greenblatt checked to Soika who bet 385,000. Guay folded. Action was on Marcel Luske and he shoved all in with a stack of roughly 2.5 million. Greenblatt quickly folded but Soika snap-called.

Luske: {9-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Soika: {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

Soika had flopped two pair, but Luske has flopped a straight and was in the lead. Luske needed to fade a king or a queen which he did on the {4-Hearts} turn and the {2-Spades} river, and that allowed him to get the knockout and nearly a double-up. Soika finishes the tournament in 81st place and will walk away with $85,482.

Niveau 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Nicolas Cardyn raised to 185,000 and John Hesp called in the small blind, as did Zu Zhou in the big blind. After a flop of {K-Clubs}{J-Spades}{2-Spades}, both Hesp and Zhou checked. Cardyn continued for 260,000 and that bet was called by only Zhou.

The remaining two players checked the {3-Hearts} turn and Zhou bet the {10-Spades} on the river for 450,000. Cardyn gave it some thought and folded.

A Big One in the Big Blind for Daniels

Niveau 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Action folded to Matt Bond in the cutoff and he raised it up to 180,000. Shawn Daniels defended his big blind.

The flop came {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Daniels checked. Bond bet 255,000 and Daniels called.

The turn was the {k-Diamonds}. Daniels checked again and Bond bet 565,000 this time. Daniels went into the tank and called for a second time.

The river was the {4-Diamonds}. Both players checked and Daniels tabled {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for two pair, kings and nines, to scoop the pot when Bond mucked.

Dhaliwal Chips Up

Niveau 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

In a battle of the blinds, a big pot was brewing between Paul Dhaliwal and Cosmin Joldis. The former bet the {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} turn for 410,000 from the small blind and Joldis called before doing so again for 600,000 after the {2-Clubs} river. Dhaliwal showed {J-Spades}{4-Spades} for two pair, jacks and fours, and that won the pot.

Piccioli Jams the River

Niveau 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

The action was folded to Ihar Soika in the cutoff who raised to 170,000 and Bryan Piccioli called from the button. The flop came {q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Soika checked to Piccioli who bet 205,000. Soika called and the {a-Spades} fell on the turn.

Soika checked again and Piccioli bet 575,000 this time. Soika called and the {a-Diamonds} completed the board. Soika checked and Piccioli quickly announced that he was all in. Soika had around 1.4 million remaining and would be risking his tournament life should he call. He thought for a couple minutes before finally releasing his hand to the muck.

Sinclair Wins Big Flip to Double

Niveau 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Action started with Richard Gryko raising it up to 180,000. Jack Sinclair was two seats over, and he three-bet to 450,000. It folded around to Gryko, who started talking to Sinclair.

"That's a strong bet. You should be pretty tight here," Gryko said without getting a reaction from Sinclair. "But my hand is too strong," Gryko said as he slid in a stack of purples to raise it up to 2 million. Sinclair declared all in for just a bit more, and Gryko tossed in the call.

Gryko: {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}
Sinclair: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

Sinclair shot right out into the lead on the window card of a {K-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop, and Gryko wasn't able to catch up as the board finished out with the {5-Hearts} and {5-Spades}.

Sinclair doubled up to over 5 million with that hand, while Gryko tumbled down to 4.15 million.
