Both players checked on the {5-Hearts} turn, but then the initial raiser bet 2,400 on the {4-Spades} river.

Valenzuela's Aces Cracked

Niveau 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Joseph Valenzeula was facing a river bet of 8,000 on a board of {9-}{4-}{k-}{5-}{j-}. He called and showed the {a-}{a-}. But it was no good as Hieu Dang had the {q-}{10-} for the straight.

Valenzuela stood up in frustration as he saw a decent portion of his stack carved away to leave him with one-third starting stack.

Pepper Doubles With a Set

Niveau 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

"Too much in the pot already," the table neighbour of Adam Pepper sighed when he had one T-25,000 chip placed in the middle on the {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop and then faced the shove of Pepper for 53,800. The call followed as Pepper revealed {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for a set and was up against {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}.

Both the {2-Clubs} turn and {q-Clubs} river were no threat and Pepper doubled to join the early chip leaders. The same table also features Tony Miles as well.
