Grondin Mucks River

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

The action was picked up on a board {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{a-Spades} with three players involved. After a check, a player bet 4,500 and only Laurence Grondin made the call.

A {4-Spades} was dealt on the river and this time Grondin's opponent bet 8,000. After some thinking, Grondin called but mucked her cards after her opponent showed {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for the flush.

The board was reading {3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} with 23,500 in the middle. There was already a bet and a call of 6,000 and David Tuchman was in the tank.

"Feel free to call the clock on me in a minute a half," said Tuchman.

He agonized over the decision for a minute before tossing in a call.

One player tabled {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a jack-high flush, another tabled {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for a king-high flush and all Tuchman could do was muck.

"I had top set," said Tuchman to PokerNews afterward. "I had aces with the ace of diamonds."

The river was the {10-Spades} and both players checked. The big blind showed {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for two pair but Zoughari held {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for the straight and took down the pot.
