Davies Wins Three-Bet Pot

Niveau 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Scott Davies kicked off the action with a raise to 22,000 and a new player who had taken the seat of Marc Bernal then three-bet to 90,000 in the big blind. After brief consideration, Davies opted to call and they headed to the {k-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop. The big blind continued for 60,000 and Davies clicked it back to 130,000. Action folded around to the blinds, where George Wong raised 26,000 from the small. Jonathan Borenstein three-bet to 75,000 from the big and Wong raised right back to 135,000.

Borenstein took some time and then announced he was all in for his remaining stack and Wong snap-called to put Borenstein at risk.

Jonathan Borenstein: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
George Wong: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

It was a worst-case scenario for Borenstein, and the {6-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{2-Spades} runout kept Wong's aces best — eliminating Borenstein from contention.
