Chen Doubles His Short Stack

Niveau 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Pete Chen got the rest of his short stack in preflop.

Pete Chen: {7-}{7-}
Opponent: {4-}{4-}

The board ran out {q-}{2-}{2-}{k-}{10-} to keep Chen's sevens ahead. Meanwhile, Tonio Roder appears to have accumulated a good amount of chips today and is the top stack at the table.

Wieser Doubles Through Lehr

Niveau 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Dan Dyke opened to 80,000 and Maximilian Wieser flat-called behind him. Keith Lehr then three-bet to 275,000 and only Wieser called.

Both players checked on the flop of {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Lehr check-called a bet of 225,000 on the {4-Hearts} turn.

Lehr checked on the {8-Diamonds} river and Wieser moved all-in for 790,000. Lehr tanked for several minutes and eventually called.

Wieser showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for aces and eights, which was good against the {q-}{q-} of Lehr for queens and eights.

Mattern Scores Another Double

Niveau 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Down to just 240,000 in chips, Arnaud Mattern went all-in and David Coleman called out of the big blind.

Arnaud Mattern: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
David Coleman: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds} board improved Mattern to a pair of aces and he remained in contention.

Spears Gets Slowrolled and Busts

Niveau 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Stephen Gerber had raised and Andy Spears then jammed for 675,000. That prompted a tank by big stack Gerber who then called. Once the cards were exposed, there were some smiles and words in disbelief by the other players at the table.

Andy Spears: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Stephen Gerber: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

"That's the worst slowroll I have seen," Spears said with a grin on the face and other players chimed in as well. The board ran out {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Spears was sent to the rail.

"I always lose with kings," Gerber justified his reluctant call. Apparently, the term always may not apply after all.

Daniel Weinman
Daniel Weinman

Daniel Weinman was just whittled down to his last 300,000 chips and woke up with a premium hand. He got all of his chips in the middle preflop and was up against Chase Binachi.

Daniel Weinman: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Chase Bianchi: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The flop came {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Bianchi spiked an ace to take the lead. Weinman picked up a flush draw on the {3-Clubs} turn but the {6-Diamonds} on the river ended Weinman's run.

Jamasi Flushed Out by Morgan

Niveau 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Farhad Jamasi
Farhad Jamasi

John Morgan raised from middle position and then called the 350,000 three-bet jam Farhad Jamasi made from the small blind.

Farhad Jamasi: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
John Morgan: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}

Jamasi was slightly ahead with his made hand of nines but the {3-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{a-Spades} flop gave Morgan the nut flush draw.

Unfortunately for Jamasi, his sweat didn't last long, as the {7-Spades} turn completed Morgan's flush and left him drawing dead to the {j-Diamonds} river.
