Kornuth Takes Down Pot on River

Niveau 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Chance Kornuth opened to 80,000 in early position and Kyle Arora three-bet to 255,000 in the cutoff. Kornuth called.

The two saw a {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop and Kornuth check-called a bet of 155,000.

The {3-Clubs} double-paired the board on the turn and both players checked.

The {8-Spades} completed the board and Kornuth took a minute before firing out a bet of 600,000. Arora took a minute of his own before laying down his hand to send the pot to Kornuth without a showdown.

Kanterjian Eliminated by Swartz

Niveau 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop, Daniel Swartz checked out of the big blind and Charbel Kanterjian bet 125,000. Swartz check-raised to 305,000 and Kanterjian then jammed for 810,000. Only a few seconds passed and Swartz then made the call.

Charbel Kanterjian: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Daniel Swartz: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The {a-Diamonds} turn and {2-Clubs} river runout failed to improve Kanterjian and he became the next casualty in the third level of the day. Shortly after, Yuhei Sanada sent his chips over to Zachary Mcdiarmid on the very same table as the field was reduced further.

Tamasauskas Left With Crumbs After Running Into Aces and then Busts

Niveau 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Behrooz Jamshidi opened to 95,000 in early position and Jean-Luc Adam flat-called in middle position. Vladas Tamasauskas then three-bet shoved from the big blind with just over 900,000 and Jamshidi re-shoved with 860,000. Adam thought for a minute and folded.

Behrooz Jamshidi: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Vladas Tamasauskas: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Jamshidi's aces held as the board ran out {10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and he secured a double, while Tamasauskas was left with crumbs.

After the hand, Adam told the table he folded pocket tens and would've flopped a set.

Shortly after, Tamasauskas lost the remainder of his chips.

Song Put to the Test, Calls Correctly for Double

Niveau 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Stephen Song
Stephen Song

There was heads-up action between Stephen Song from early position and Joshua Suyat from the big blind with a {5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} board showing.

Suyat led out for 320,000 and Song called to see the {q-Spades} complete the board on the river. Suyat quickly announced he was all in and the bet sent Song into the tank as it was for all his chips.

After much contemplation, Song decided to risk his 1,005,000 stack and the two players tabled their hands.

Suyat rolled over {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for a busted open-ender and Song revealed {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} to collect his double-up.

Braswell "Finally Sucks Out"

Niveau 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Bryan Braswell went all-in with a stack of about 700,000 and Ugur Secilmis called with his opponent covered.

Bryan Braswell: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Ugur Secilmis: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

"That's the hand I didn't want to see," said Braswell.

The flop of {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{q-Hearts} gave Braswell the lead when he paired his queen and he maintained the best hand for a double when the board ran out {5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} to give him a full house.

"I was just telling my friend I hadn't sucked out yet," Braswell exclaimed as he took in the chips.

Arkadi Onikoul: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Keith Lehr: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Aguiar Can't Make a Pair

Niveau 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Jeremy Joseph raised from middle position and Jonathan Aguiar shoved all in for around 870,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Joseph called to put Aguiar at risk.

Jonathan Aguiar: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Jeremy Joseph: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Joseph remained in the lead with his pair of sixes. The {9-Hearts} on the turn and the {a-Clubs} on the river also missed Aguiar who was sent to the payout desk.

Dwek Jams Into Li; Moschonas Doubles

Niveau 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Andy Li raised to 80,000 and called a three-bet by Jonathan Dwek on the button as they headed to the {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop. Li checked and then called a bet worth 275,000 by Dwek. On the {k-Hearts} turn, Li checked once more and Dwek jammed with the big stack to force a fold from Li.

One hand later, Jacob Millstein raised and reluctantly called the shove of Aristeidis Moschonas in the small blind for 380,000.

Aristeidis Moschonas: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Jacob Millstein: {9-Spades}{7-Spades}

Only one seven on the {k-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} board was not enough for Millstein and Moschonas doubled.

Rigby Steps Out of Line, Doubles Song

Niveau 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

There was a raise to 80,000 in middle position and Nicholas Rigby three-bet to 185,000 from the cutoff. John Song four-bet shoved all in for 655,000 from the big blind which got the initial raiser to fold. Rigby thought for a minute and then called to put Song at risk.

John Song: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Nicholas Rigby: {3-Spades}{2-Hearts}

Deuces? Nope. Threes? Nope. It was deuce-three offsuit that Rigby called with and Song just put his hands up in the air. The flop of {k-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} reassured Song a little although Rigby still had a straight draw he could hit. The {6-Clubs} on the turn and the {8-Hearts} on the river bricked off as Song held for a double up.
