Dragana Lim to Use WSOP Main Event Winnings to Create Animal Foundation

Niveau 29 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Dragana Lim
Dragana Lim

Dragana Lim was the last woman standing in the 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, and her winnings won't go toward a fancy home or some bling. Instead, she's going to use the money — every penny of it — to build her own animal foundation.

"If I win $80,000 or $8 million, it's all going to the animal foundation," Lim told PokerNews during the first break on Sunday. "My husband and I were fortunate enough to retire last year, so we want to give back."

Lim entered Sunday's Day 6 session with just north of 5 million chips and had built her stack up over 10 million early in the day. But she ran into a rough patch and was eventually eliminated in 64th place just before the dinner break. She received $95,700, all of which will go toward her charitable endeavors.

Dumont Binks the River

Niveau 29 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Nicolas Dumont raised it up from under the gun and Philipe Pizzari Pinto defended from the big blind. The flop fell {j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and both players checked to the {10-Spades} on the turn.

That seemed to spur the action as within a few short moments, the two players had all of their chips in the middle with Dumont at risk for 2,530,000. Dumont held {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} and required some help against Pinto's {j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}.

"Ace!" the French rail was cheering for, but it was the {9-Spades} on the river. It did the same job as Dumont made a straight and doubled his stack.

Behrooz Jamshidi

Norbert Koh raised to 320,000, Behrooz Jamshidi three-bet shoved for 1,020,000 and Koh put the extra chips in.

Behrooz Jamshidi: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Norbert Koh: {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}

Neither the {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop nor the {k-Clubs} turn helped Jamshidi, but luckily for him the {q-Clubs} popped up on the river to remain in the running.

Kudo Eliminated After Big Bluff

Niveau 29 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Mikiya Kudo
Mikiya Kudo

Joshua Remitio opened to 325,000 in middle position and Mikiya Kudo three-bet to 925,000 in the cutoff. The action folded back to Remitio, who called.

Remitio checked on the {10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop and called when Kudo bet 685,000. Remitio check-called again on the {8-Clubs} when his opponent sized up to 2,100,000.

Remitio checked for a third time on the {9-Clubs} river and Kudo put him to the test by moving all-in for 4,600,000. Remitio shook his head as he thought through the situation and announced a call.

Kudo turned over {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a bluff with ace-high and Remitio tabled {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for trip tens to win the massive pot and send Kudo to the rail.
