Ragozzini Gets There to Eliminate Iyer

Niveau 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Sean Ragozzini
Sean Ragozzini

Jack Oliver opened to 240,000 on the button and Sean Ragozzini and Abhinav Iyer both called in the blinds.

Ragozzini checked on the flop of {5-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Iyer moved all-in for around 1,000,000. Oliver folded and Ragozzini quickly called.

Abhinav Iyer: {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Sean Ragozzini: {q-Spades}{9-Spades}

Iyer had a pair of fives and needed to dodge a spade, queen or nine to stay alive. He couldn't do so as the {q-Hearts} turn gave his opponent the lead and the {9-Hearts} on the river only improved Ragozzini's hand to send Iyer to the rail.

Kiriopoulos Flops Set to Bust Prager

Niveau 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Joshua Field raised to 240,000 and Adam Walton called while Robert Mitchell, Josh Prager and Demosthenes Kiriopoulos came along for a five-way pot.

The flop was {2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and the table checked to Kiriopoulos, who put in a 475,000 bet. Walton, Mitche, and Field all got out of the way and Josh Prager shoved for 1.14 million. Kiriopoulos called quickly.

Josh Prager: {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Demosthenes Kiriopoulos: {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}

Prager had a pair of tens but needed a lot of help to beat the set of threes held by Kiriopoulos. The turn was {6-Clubs} and the river fell {9-Spades} with no help for Prager and he was out of the tournament.

Niveau 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Philipe Pizzari Pinto raised from under the gun and then called the shove by Ehsan Amiri for his last 440,000.

Ehsan Amiri: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Philipe Pizzari Pinto: {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

While the camera crew rushed to the table to film the showdown, Amiri was already filming it on the phone himself. The Aussie had a brief sweat until the {6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{q-Spades} turn but the {9-Hearts} river kept Amiri in contention.

Vayssieres Busts Wiegmann; Takes a Penalty

Vayssieres' Rail is upset about the penalty
Vayssieres' Rail is upset about the penalty

Cody Wiegmann raised to 565,000 with 105,000 behind while in the small blind. Nicolas Vayssieres was in the big blind and eventually moved all-in. Since the tournament was still on a pay jump, Wiegmann tanked and both then started engaging in some table chat. Wiegmann mentioned he had a king-high, to which Vayssieres replied that it's a flip.

Once the pay jump was secured, Wiegmann called all-in.

Cody Wiegmann: {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Nicolas Vayssieres: {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop gave Vayssieres the superior hand but Wiegmann had the nut flush draw. Nothing changed on the {4-Hearts} turn and the {3-Spades} river ended Wiegmann's run in 62nd place. Floor staff was then made aware of the table talk between the two players and Vayssieres was initially given a seven-hand penalty, which was reduced to one hand shortly thereafter.

Hudon Stalls, Busts, Gets Pay Jump

Niveau 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Arkadi Onikoul raised to 275,000 from the button and Eliot Hudon tanked for quite a while from the big blind. After about 4-5 minutes, Jack Oliver apparently asked him if he was planning to do this for every hand until the pay jump. It seems that he admitted that and the dealer called the floor over. The dealer explained the situation and then gave Hudon ten seconds to decide.

When someone pointed out that there were only 63 players left and that he had a pay jump already, he three-bet to 845,000, keeping 75,000 behind. Onikoul four-bet jammed for Hudon to make the call.

Eliot Hudon: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Arkadi Onikoul: {k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}

The board ran out {5-Spades}{9-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for Onikoul to flop top pair to eliminate Hudon in 63rd place.

Spencer Puts Wiegmann to the Test

Niveau 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Lewis Spencer
Lewis Spencer

A completed board of {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs} was spread across the table with just over 1,000,000 chips in the middle. Cody Wiegmann led out with a bet of 875,000 and Lewis Spencer made a massive shove for his remaining 5,995,000 chips.

Wiegmann sat back in his chair and his eyes grew wide as he asked for a count. The two players had very similar stack sizes but Wiegmann had Spencer barely covered. A couple of minutes passed by and Spencer asked for the clock. The tournament floor denied the request and Wiegmann stayed in the tank.

After four minutes passed, the floor gave Wiegmann a one-minute warning. As the time neared zero, Wiegmann finally made the call. Spencer turned over {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for two pair while Wiegmann showed {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for an inferior two pair. Spencer collected a full double up and left Wiegmann on the short stack.
