Pollak Takes From Dwek

Niveau 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Benjamin Pollak raised to 265,000 from middle position, and Jonathan Dwek quickly called from late position.

The flop came {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, and Pollak led out for 200,000, immediately turning his head to the left to stare at his opponent, who is decked out in the Superman costume he's been wearing since Day 1. Dwek wasted no time and tossed in two chips to call.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds}, and both players checked to the {2-Clubs} on the river. Pollak tossed out an oversized T500,000 chip, and Dwek snap-called.

Pollak tabled {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for aces full of deuces, and Dwek mucked his hand.

Vaiciulionis Runs Out a Straight

Niveau 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Justas Vaiciulionis made it 255,000 in the hijack and got action from Joshua Horton on his left.

Horton called a bet of 250,000 on the {4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop. Vaiciulionis check-called 400,000 on the {5-Clubs} turn, and the {6-Diamonds} made four to a straight. Vaiciulionis checked, and Horton checked back.

Vaiciulionis tabled {7-Hearts}{7-Spades} for a straight, and Horton showed he'd been outdrawn with {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Jesus Blanco

Jake Bazeley opened with a raise to 250,000 from under the gun. Action folded around to the button, where Jesus Blanco moved all in for 2,515,000. Action folded back to Bazeley, and after thinking about it for a bit, he called.

Bazeley: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Blanco: {K-Spades}{J-Spades}

The board rolled out {9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs}, and that kept Bazeley in the lead the whole way, earning him the pot and the knockout.

Blanco hit the rail in 44th place, collecting $176,399 for his run in the Main Event.

Stewart Takes from Sklenicka

Niveau 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Joining the action in a battle of the blinds between Michael Sklenicka and Scott Stewart on the {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop, Sklenicka checked and called a bet of 240,000 from Stewart. Both checked the {7-Spades} turn, and Sklenicka also checked the {K-Clubs} river.

"Do you have any frisbees?" Stewart asked and leaned over to see the stack of Sklenicka, then clarified that he meant the bigger T500,000 chips. Stewart bet 1,125,000, and Sklenicka immediately said, "I hate to be a calling station."

After more than two minutes of consideration, the Czech called, and Stewart turned over {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for a straight to win the pot.

Marvin Pushes Crivello Off

Niveau 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

[Removed:508] has been the most aggressive player his table so far, and he raised again to 300,000 from early position. Joshua Marvin called from the big blind.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs}. Both players checked to the {a-Clubs} turn, and Marvin checked again. Crivello bet 500,000, and Marvin check-raised to 1,700,000.

"Wow, I might have to make a big fold here," Crivello said. He adjusted his headphones and thought for a couple minutes. Eventually, he mucked {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} face-up, and Marvin scooped the pot.

Ruane Scores Big Double Against Hesp

Niveau 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante
Michael Ruane
Michael Ruane

Sean Gibson raised to 300,000 from middle position, and John Hesp called from the cutoff. Michael Ruane three-bet to about 1,200,000 from the button, Gibson folded, and Hesp shoved with the bigger stack. Ruane called all in for about 5,200,000 to put himself at risk.

Hesp: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Ruane: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

The flop came down {10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}, keeping Ruane ahead with his queens. The turn was the {K-Clubs}, giving Hesp a flush draw. However, the {A-Diamonds} river completed the board, and Ruane's queens held up to give him the sizable double-up.

Blumstein Shows

Niveau 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Valentin Messina opened to 260,000 on the button, and both blinds called.

Messina bet 350,000 on the {2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop, and Scott Blumstein called. Daniel Turner made it 1.1 million, chasing Messina away. However, Blumstein shoved all in after some thought.

"If I got set over set, it's not a bad way to go out," Turner mused, studying Blumstein hard for a read. "You got fours?"

After a little while, Blumstein mouthed something inaudible to his neighbor without moving his head.

"Gimme a minute. Sorry, y'all," Turner said.

Less than a minute later, though, he flicked his cards to the dealer.

Blumstein turned over {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

Gryko Gets Paid

Niveau 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Richard Gryko was on the button and action folded to him. He opened the action to what appeared to be 275,000 and was called by Jack Sinclair in the big blind.

The flop was {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Spades} and Sinclair check-called Gryko's bet of 330,000.

The turn was the {3-Hearts} and again Sinclair check-called a bet of 900,000.

The river was the {8-Diamonds} and Sinclair checked for a third time. Gryko didn't waste much time and fired out a bet of 1,100,000. Sinclair tanked for a couple of minutes and then called. Gryko tabled {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and that was enough to take it down.

Two Pair Versus Two Pair

Niveau 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

From middle position, Richard Dubini opened to 275,000. Big blind Michael Krasienko called, then check-called a bet of 375,000 on the {4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} flop, as well. Krasienko check-called another 675,000 on the {4-Spades} turn before the {9-Hearts} hit the river. Both players checked, and Krasienko showed {9-}{7-} for two pair.

Dubini, though, tabled {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} for the better two pair, and Krasienko tossed his cars into the muck.
